and John kelly! Don't forget John Kelly! ;D My Dad rated him for some reason. I thought he wasn't a patch on my first childhood hero Chrissy Marsden! Was he any good?, I don't really remember at all!

Iwan Roberts used to go drinking at my parents local - they got on really well with him. Anyway I went in with them to meet him. I pulled a strop and said to Iwan I don't want to meet you only Chris Marsden - he nearly died with laughter. He was really cool though was Iwan - top bloke!

The first one i remember was august 1999, first match of the season against Blackburn Rovers think it was a night match, we won 3-2 thanks to a late Rob Edwards goal, i had been to a few matches before then, but this was the first time i had a season ticket so the first one i remember properly, i was 11 at the time, so bit of a late starter i guess really!
And what a season to be introduced to town! Stewart and yard-wide banging them in, beating crystal palace 7-1, top of the league over Christmas, looked certain to be promoted, and then it got to February and we all know what happened then!

The first one i remember is 9 October 1991 when we beat Sunderland 4-0 in the League Cup, Iwan bagged himself a couple
Other games i can remember from that season are the Playoff Semi against Peterborough (we still owe them for that) and the Lincoln United 7-0
Definitely went to earlier games but cant remember them just looking back over the results.....

First game Leeds Vs Man City, charity shield at Elland Road. Uncle from Dundee down on holiday desperate to take me to my first football game.
First Town game Vs Blackpool 15/8/70, first game back in Division 1.
First away game Birmingham City FAC Quarter final 1972.
Very surprised to be among the oldest posters (unless some of you started going in your 30's in the 80's).

5 March 1988 V Reading (a glorious 2-0 defeat) was my first football game and Town game.
We were rock bottom of the league, already on the way down.
But I'm a little bit proud of the fact that the first time I saw Town win was a couple of weeks later when we beat Man City 1-0 in the return fixture of the 10-1.

My first game was 1991 pre season. It was in one of Frank Worthington's benefit games.

Some sunny day in 63 a 1-1 against Pompey. Ray Lewis scored then conceded a late equaliser. Stood in the sun on the popular side I remember the smell of stinking drains and a little guy in a large butchers apron, fag in mouth, walking round the running track selling pies from a wicker basket. Health and Safety police would have a fit.

A funny little story. Iwan was great I bumped into him in the old Town shop at Leeds Road before he and a very young Boothy drove off to a friendly. He said hiya to me, my reply was 'you've got your teeth in' Again, he nearly died with laughter. Must have been 1992/93 pre-season

I think my first game was 2000/2001 season, Versus Sheffield wednesday and it was 0-0. The only thing i can remember from the match is that their keeper(pressman) saved a shot and it hit the floor and bounced OVER the bar. How bizzare

Town v Newcastle, think it was 1984, the one in which Keegan was supposed to play but didn't.
