Greg - Just copy the bulk of the text from the first post in the "Shares explained thread" which is stickied at the top of the board. Try and condense it as they wont publish a massive letter

I was seated in th FM upper stand and began booing Mr Burns when the muppet next to me told me to pack it in and be grateful we still have a team to watch. I politeley explained the position as best I could but he was like, "no Way!", so I was like "WAY!" but he was like "WHATEVEVER..." Honestly, if he had not been my father I would have decked him. I just got a hot dog instead.

I will also point out that at least one of the head sports journalists at the Examiner has an account on here and logs on regularly, even posting sometimes.
I'm not 100% that Melvyn Smooth does, but you'd think so.

Yes you might worried about Davy taking your rights away to report on town and the giants but Hoyle will just give you the rights back for next season anyway and would losing the rights to the Giants really be a big deal, im sure only a very small % only buy the examiner to read about those muppets

Crap rag as usual.
Ridiculous comment re the booing.
Pathetic idle marking system of players as well. Give everybody the same mark & just pick out someone (usually the wrong one) to get one mark more.
I turned my back on KD when he spoke (and mentally blocked my ears)
Heard the loud chorus of booing from above me (middle/near top of Antich) but people were looking round angrily & reacting as if their beloved ex leader had been maligned unfairly.
Poor misguided souls.

Many, many letters have been sent to the Examiner regarding what he's done but they just don't print them. I thought they might be changing their tune with him going but obviously not with the 'churlish' comment. I haven't bought a copy in the last 2 years.

Does anyone else feel a letter to the examiners letters page coming on, explaining just what the “churlish” boo’s were for? The more I think about it, the more outrageous this 'churlish' comment is. Not only will the pathetic excuse for our local newspaper refuse to investigate the issues raised, they then seek to condemn those who don't fall in behind Davy's spin machine. Given that they refuse to investigate, they are not in a position to cast any sort of comment on anybody.

If the article does come out in the Guardian they will look even less professional - genuine opportunity for proper investigative journalism about a genuine story and they chose to ignore it. Egg on face time...

It'll be a sweet day when the truth is out in the open. Everyone will see Ken for what he really is and the examiner will look like the bottling twunts they really are

Whereabouts is this 'churlish booing' comment? Anyone got a link? You'd have to get the paper. Inside the back page where the match report is, down the right hand side where it names motm etc just below that

I think it will be interesting to see if the Examiner changes it's tact once Ken is no longer in charge. When Ken had a monopoly on the football club and the rugby club it would be sucidial to pick a fight with Davy. Davy could just turn round and ban the paper. No Examiner editor would sanction that story. If the Examiner lost all access to Town the paper could well go under.
Once Ken no longer has a stranglehold on the football club the examiner may start to publish more investigative articles.
A lot will aslo be determined by what Hoyle does and i dodn't think he will stay silent for long!!!

Stupid comment from the unexamined.
That comment is the definition of churlish - and quite amateurish journalism.

I have written twice to the Examiner in the last few weeks they never even got an acknowledgement when I asked them why they never questioned the share issue. I also sent a copy of Slaps post slightly rewritten to condense it.
One way Davy would take notice is if a black paint graffiti artist put a few "DAVY GIVE US OUR SHARES BACK" on a few bridges around the Town.

There is a letter in tonight's Examiner about Ken Davy:
"...Saturday was not just about Andy Booth - there was another man whose role is about to change. This is the man who brought Huddersfield Town out of administration in the dark days of 2003.
Without his actions six years ago, there might not have been a football club at all and the presentation to him was rightly deserved.
It appeared to me that a few fans have short memories and the applause on Saturday should not just have been for Andy Booth, but also for Ken Davy. It doesn't matter if he is a Rugby League man at heart, he still saved our club and the people of Huddersfield - as well as Town fans - owe him a big thank you"
They don't seem to have a problem printing letters like that do they?

that doesn't surprise me in the slightest LT, i doubt they'd ever publish a letter (or anything) going against Davy. Clearly the person who wrote the letter doesn't know about the share issue (or they do and they're ignorant of it because it means admitting Davy isn't as perfect as they believe him to be) and for that matter they must be the 1s with a short memory anyway because they talk about administration in 2004..............it was 2003

and there was me thinking 2004 was a good year with us getting promoted........obviously not, we must've been in administration without us knowing about it.........whoever wrote the letter doesn't come across as being very clever for that reason alone. If they're going to spout trash, at least get some facts right such as the dates!

I suppose, for now, there's going to be people who believe the Pro Davy propaganda.....just like there's people who say man has never stepped on the moon or that the earth is flat. What's more annoying is that letters like that are happily published, whereas those letters with an alternative opinion, and written without prophanity, are ignored. It's a great shame that our local newspaper cannot report both sides of the arguement.
