I read with interest that Ken Davy will be honoured tomorrow at some point during the afternoon.
Not sure what form this will take or who will be involved but I think as the shares issue remains unresolved or at least adequately explained there is little to recommend that he be honoured.
I have no desire to abuse Mr Davy, I don't actually begrudge him trying to earn an honest buck - good luck to him - but not at the direct expense of our club. I do think his removal of the stadium shares was cynical and opportunistic and I do think his running of the football club has been no better than functional.
As such I fail to see what he has done to merit any specific honour from the fans of our club. He can point to his rescuing of the club but I would counter that this was necessary for his own aims as much as the continuation of HTAFC as a Football League Club.
Tomorrow any such presentation or speech will be me by me turning my back or taking a toliet break. I would humbly suggest that those who are of a similar view do the same. Silence from the majority would be far more powerful than mindless abuse from a minority.

I agree, Sean Jarvis(last night Hx meeting) said this will take place at half time, booing or heckling would not benefit anyone but silence instead of applause says so much. Then as he departs the pitch etc a quick rendition of "Give us our shares back" should suffice.

Silence v definitely the best way forward - has much more impact than hurling vitriolic abuse.

A continous rendition of give us our shares back during the whole time he is on the pitch will be far more effective than silence or booing imo.

I wouldn't blame anyone shouting abuse and a song asking for the shares would be totally justified (imho). Mr Davy is such a slippery customer and a master of spin he will turn any abuse as being by a (forgive me I forget the exact phrase used) "mischief makers".
I complete silence would be very powerful, even better if the stands were empty at that time.
At the end of the day the bloke deserves little from Town fans as he has given us little. I have no desire to pander to his ego.
I am sorry some think I am a dickhead but the shares issue will continue for a long time. Marginalising Mr Davy by considered argument will win the day, abuse will only strengthen his position/resolve.

Silence v definitely the best way forward - has much more impact than hurling vitriolic abuse. exactly --- he can pass of abuse as the work of trouble makers. but a stadium of silence (although sadly it will never happen) would be the most damning of all. personally, i will go with dugnet, and will turn my back and give him the silent rasberry

It really is a shame that the Guardian article didn't come out this Wednesday, ditto the Examiner article. Alot more people would be in the know. I will certainly make my feelings known!

Ditto. Not 100% sure what i'm going to say if I see him though. "Excuse me, Mr Davy? Can you confirm, now you'll no longer be the Huddersfield Town Chairman, that you'll no longer feel the need to protect Town from any potential debts, and as such your parting gift to the club, the fans, and the community will be to return Town's shares in the stadium to the football club?" Take a deep breath before you do though ;D

it would be effective if lots of people turned their backs . I dont mean in the sense of walking away. I mean physically turning their backs

Isn't there a HTAFC customer charter or something saying that all letters will be responded to within 20 something days?

Can we all just give him a little respect, i know what he has done with regards to the club has been despicable, and at times he's acted like a despotic fool. But the man doesn't deserve a poor reception, for those of you who don't like him just don't cheer or clap, but please people don't shout abuse at him.

Maybe he's planning on borrowing the Pope's Popemobile (to protect it from any Vatican City liabilities).... and he's going to do a lap of the stadium on the running track, with a loudspeaker reminding us how he owns 60% of it, and Kirklees Council can't stop him doing anything he wants with it? Let's hope the glass is still toughened enough to resist the snipers who are positioned in the trees on Kilner bank.... We wouldn't want any blood spillage on the hallowed turf
