"It's not the system it's the players on the field."
I found that comment more worrying than anything.
I'm presuming he's under instructions to play attractive football - he sees that system as the way to do it - and he either won't resist the instructions or doesn't see any other way.
Frightening.

Embarrassing. Pathetic. Atrocious.
Smithies- shocking Crooks- do not get me started, why he was selected is beyond me Peltier- could have done better Lynch- same as above Dixon- won a few tackles, but virtually non existant Hammill- did okay, shame he got a knock Norwood- dreadful Hogg- don't know what to say, at least he ran about a bit Majewski- passenger Ward- won a few headers, thats it Wells- isolated, felt sorry for him Scannell- time to go now Sean Lolley- tried Coady- seemed to give a shit at least
Really like Robins, but that was an utter shambles, a complete and utter shambles. Bournemouth looked a team. Solid at the back. Arter in midfield was brilliant. Wilson bullied our defenders. Looked a solid unit.

Awful, shocking...
As soon as the 4th went in I left the ground 20+ mins early. I never leave early but the way we played (or didn't play!) was a disgrace.
Robins set us up wrongly with players out if position then poor defensive mistakes for all 4 goals.
Not one to see managers be sacked but can't see a way out for MR we need to get rid.

Robins has been banging on about playing football the right way and passing the ball since he joined, so why don't we pass the ball? This isn't just about today this has been going on since January last year. We have no direction, no pattern of play, no cohesion, I honestly cannot see how we are trying to score apart from the boot up to Ward to knock on for Wells and that's the exact type of football Robins has said we won't be playing.
Play the system to suit your players not the other way round, today was abysmal and if we don't see a massive improvement before the next home game in performances and results, get rid.

I don't normally call for a manager's head but I am going to say this. I said a week or so ago give him 10 games. I would now give him 5 and a points target or he is gone.

Times up now this is awful!! i said this gamewould not define our season win or lose but today was awfull robins is right when he said the players have to stand up and be counted whatever the system there is no exuse for lack of desire . lynch bullied out of it on the touchline for seccond goal bullied all the game our back three plus up front no one can hold the ball up why stead wasnt brought on in the seccond half is a mystery but yes the manager has and does take responsibility but make no mistake so do the playeres and o regan pointed that out as well. The players let the fans down todayu not the manager.

He could have at least bollocked a few people, instead of just standing their scratching his balls! What happened at half time? Did he just chill with his feet up?

Peltier RB played at CB Crooks CM played at CB Hammill ATM played at WB Dixon LB played at LWB Ward ATM played at CF I have backed and defended Robins on most occasions, but today his team selection is bafflingly why does he insist on playing this formation, we Do NOT have the players capable of doing this!!! Hit the nail on the head for me there pal

Time for him to go! Quite clear that the formation 3-5-2 dosent work and if he is going to stick with it, which he is going to by the sounds of what he said on the radio, things are only going to get worse! Time to act quick and get rid of him!

If he can't motivate the team for their first home game of the season, what's he going to be like in the middle of the season? No tactical nous, no inspiration. Again another on here saying he cant motivate the team what about the players. Motivation comes from within and yes robins is not blameless but we were insipid to put it mildly. The team let the manager and the fans down today big style. End of story

First problem was Crooks starting, no disrespect to the lad but christ almighty why isn't Smith starting or even Wallace ahead of him? Looked extremely uneasy at times when we have better options sitting out.
Second problem our midfield is now non existent without Clayton sitting deep and always wanting the ball to try start something - needs to be addressed ASAP.
Third problem Wells and Ward never worked last season and surprisingly didn't work again today, need a striker so badly it hurts, it's plain to see for literally every single person in that ground.
Usually have a never mind let's put it right next game attitude but I'm seriously worried after watching that...

I wasn't optimistic that we'd be a whole lot better than we were last season, how wrong I was we were a hell of a lot worse ! The lack of fight and passion on a first home game was gut wrenching.
Alarm bells were ringing when we started with a young midfielder at Right centre back, Ward upfront and Stead on the bench. 30 seconds in everyone's fears were realised and it didn't get any better. It's one thing if we'd lost to Bournemouth and put up something resembling a performance. But we were absolutely outclassed the 0-4 score line flattered us if anything.
Hogg and Norwood were particular lowlights today, Hoggs passing is League 2 standard and my 4 year old nephew has more physical presence and energy than Norwood !!!! I'd like to say it can't get any worse than today but we've got Reading and Cardiff away on the horizon so I'd say its odds on it will get a lot worse pretty soon.
I take it by Robins demeanour on the touch line throughout today's debacle that he still thinks we are 'a workin progress' and are 'heading in the right direction'. I think today may even make folk see through Robins statements that we are a good footballing side playing the right way. I would have sacked him after today, he's a very very poor manager and will only take us down!!

peltier??? centre back? ?? not in any team that I would ever pick.. this is a tough division and being asleep at the kick off is the biggest sign of a lack of professionalism at a club. We have been conceding early for a long time, we also concede on half time and at the start of the second half more than any other team I have ever seen. would anyone seriously give robins any more money for players?? whoever he signs they will come into a team that clearly hasn't got a gameplan or does not really know what they are supposed to be doing. The basics are very poor and the fitness looks suspect and again the will does not seem to be there. All dangerous signs that haven't changed from last year..

Can't argue against him being sacked.
5 wins in 2014
This stupid fantasy football formation that works for a 6 game shock factor but then is easy to play against.
He says we're developing, improving - nonsense we've been going backwards ever since last Christmas.
He was lucky to survive the post season staff cull - I know that seemed to be supported on here, but I found it odd if you're getting rid of your number 2 and 3 that you keep your number 1 when 2 and 3 are his men. He's lost his two closest staff to him, his people.
BUT whoever is in, Hoyle needs to wake up - we need a centre half and a foil for Wells asap.

Crooks isn't a midfielder - he's just not good enough full stop. What on earth was he playing for??!! Absolutely bloody clueless and his radio interview spoke volumes - stubborn, deluded and living in cloud cuckoo land. Ward is hopeless as a striker. Hammill as bad as a wing back. Norwood - usual insipid self with no drive or energy Hogg - slow clumsy and playing the wrong role again! Poor old wells is more isolated than an offshore oil rig!!!
Absolutely shameful display which just continued a litany of them since jan. 5 league wins in 20+ is simply not good enough! The biggest crime though is his insistence we will try and play entertaining football!!!! Christ I'm bored shitless with it all and have decided today that that's it for me in terms of paying to watch unless things improve markedly. Season ticket has already been paid for but am not forking out good coin again to watch well paid professionals waltz around without a care in the world whilst getting gubbed. Anybody else see a new Wadsworth today - stood on touch line doing f all and looking all lost?!

Am trying to give him time but he is holding us back. Same as last season the players won't get the rollicking they deserve.
I watches sky sports news this morn, every team got a mention, except us. We're boring, he's boring. Get shut!
