Crooks isn't a midfielder - he's just not good enough full stop. What on earth was he playing for??!! Absolutely bloody clueless and his radio interview spoke volumes - stubborn, deluded and living in cloud cuckoo land. Ward is hopeless as a striker. Hammill as bad as a wing back. Norwood - usual insipid self with no drive or energy Hogg - slow clumsy and playing the wrong role again! Poor old wells is more isolated than an offshore oil rig!!! Absolutely shameful display which just continued a litany of them since jan. 5 league wins in 20+ is simply not good enough! The biggest crime though is his insistence we will try and play entertaining football!!!! Christ I'm bored shitless with it all and have decided today that that's it for me in terms of paying to watch unless things improve markedly. Season ticket has already been paid for but am not forking out good coin again to watch well paid professionals waltz around without a care in the world whilst getting gubbed. Anybody else see a new Wadsworth today - stood on touch line doing f all and looking all lost?! That could have been me - I played on my phone from 4 nil Couldn't have put it better myself - and I'm not one for changing a manager for the sake, but he looked and more importantly sounded lost.

I think we should take a chill pill . And look at it as a bad 8 months in the office . Give Robbins to Xmas and if still looking like pissed up Sunday league player that haven't ever played a game off football get rid . If we wait until xmas even jseus himself couldn't come back and save us.

the fact Smithies was starting told you all you need to know about how clueless Robins is. How many errors did he make last season, basic simple errors that maybe happen once in a keepers career. Game after game, and absolutely no command over his area at all. He goes out and signs a keeper who he rates highly and has worked with before. His decision is then to play Smithies? It makes no sense at all.

One good thing, Murphy will prob take over as keeper from the shocking smithies Murthy has to start now - smithies was shocking today from start to finish. Crap kicking, came out aimlessly at least once and should have stopped the fourth and I thought he was poor for the second as well. Like the manager has under performed for too long now......needs a kick up his arris!!!!!!!!

Being serious now . Robbins said after its early days with it being first game . But its not early days is it because its 2 wins in 22 and this bad run is 8 months now and counting . I hope Dean really looks into this over the weekend .

Bournemouth are a good team. Let's see how we perform over the next few matches before deciding to start again. We still have time to buy and I think with a couple of good signings we will start looking more like a decent side. Bournemouth a good team? You must be kidding. You are entitled to your opinion but I thought they were average at best. There was no real flair or great movement with quick passing. Town were very, very, very poor. Agreed good call! We were shocking. Bournmouth really didn't have to play that well. We were totally clueless! Going to be a long, long, difficult season. Looked like we'd just met in the car park before the match!

It isnt early days is it though, most clubs have had to gel with countless new players, we are playing pretty much the same team that finished last season. Only 2 summer signings starting so he cant even use that excuse about team gelling.

But what did we expect?
No new centre half - that had to be a priority
No new striker - that had to be a priority
We needed more leaders - we've not addressed imo. Peltier is not a leader for me.
We needed more height imo - we look like an under 14 team beyond the back 3.
Another fancy alls well when we're 4 nil up midfielder - see Norwood, see Scannell etc. Wasn't a necessity, a nice to have perhaps.
Our first XI is worse, our squad much weaker.
In no way excuses Robins as I've posted above but Hoyle, Clibbens and Wilson need to wake up here

total absence of professionalism from start to finish across the whole team. That is a serious sign wether its the first or the 15th match.
the club can either sit on its hands and hope or it can make serious changes now. If we fail to make signings or change the whole attitude/approach now its then clear that Dean is accepting we cannot compete here and is quite ok with a shocking season and relegation so we can re-group??

I saw John Solako after the game - presumably he was there for Sky. No words exchanged, his face said it all. He looked sorry for me, almost apologetic. He didn't need to speak.

I remember Norwich lost there first game other season 7.1 Colchester and then went on to piss the league . So don't worry about it . They sacked their manager within that first week, I don't believe we have folk in charge who will react as decisively. And we KNOW they're not very good at choosing new managers anyway.

Today's attitude was like a team rock bottom and relegated in February...... It's august FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON Don't get why everybody inc. the club winge constantly about budgets and completing at this level excuse. All it does is send out the message that failure is okay I'll give him 3 games.

The guy makes me want to vomit every time I hear his voice, he should have been sacked last season, same old bullshit on radio. If the guy ain't sacked by Monday morning, Deano has settled for league 1 already!!!! Bloody disgrace today.

Hoyle has promised us the quality signings but they need to be on board for the season kick off. Why wait on man utd for a possible loan til the end of the month or later.Thats ok if its the icing on the cake player, but we have a real need right now for a commanding ctre back, and have done since sean morrison left. Its the same up front, the club have known jv is crocked but we start the season without the striker we need. Throw Robins and his selections and tactics into the mix and its a recipe for disaster. Its negligence and whats more its gone on for some time. Complying with ffp while no one else gives a shit is why while we start our third season looking like a pub team compare to bournemouth who are only starting their second. Why should i pay my hard earned to watch a team thatS STILL short of key players and managed by that idiot Robins. Its time to act Hoyle on all fronts.

I think the only reason Thompson was brought in was if Robins didn't work out and not to assist. Wouldn't be my choice but can see it happening

Robins and other members of the board including Hoyle and Wilson had at least 6 weeks to put right the defensive failings of last season and only a piss poor manager would fail to see that Town do not get the best out of Wells when playing him as a loan striker and to put Peltier in a central defensive role said it all. Todays mess was a bodge job example of trying to put square pegs in round holes as to try and accommadate 11 + individual players in roles or positions which would be almost impossible to work as to that of a team is worrying enough but Robins made matters far worse in his after match interview by his his inability to realise the simple mistakes of which everybody else could see and this was followed by bullshit and excuses which sadly was proof that the writing is on the wall for his early departure.

Why on earth play Ward up front. Stead on the bench that should have been sorted at half time. Norwood looked ineffective all game. Hogg's passing is awful. I think it said a lot when most of this lot were ineffective against Newcastle and the youngsters gave them a game. Poor team selection, a system which gives us no cutting edge and an opposition who got behind us with long balls all afternoon. Robins just stood and watched it. As has been said Peltier is no centre back. arterrier my apologies. I had a poke at your pessimism a week or so back but you were absolutely right. Robins needs to go asap. We have players in the squad who can do a lot better and he has no idea how to use them. We need a commanding centre half, that was the worst game I have seen Lynch play. Painful, painful day.

The main thing for me was my own attitude towards the result today. I just found myself not really caring. It was just so bad it was laughable. I haven't felt like that since the Ritchie days. Can't believe I committed myself to another full season of this. Robins has to go. It is a shame but it just is not working. The squad is ridiculously imbalanced, the team is worse than last season and the players just don't look like they want to play for this manager at all.

I'd give Robins a bit more time, but the signs aren't good and I could easily see Thompson in charge by the end of Sept if things don't improve radically and quickly.

im always amazed that these football managers think we don't know what we are watching?
mark, if you start talking about atomic science or tell me all about knitting I might fall for it..
its football you knob, just a very straightforward game, played and managed by mostly fairly simple blokes..
