@patrickkluivert: All the rumours are suggestions based on Nothing . 5 mins ago. bubble burst folks. I find it hard to believe there is no truth to the rumor at all, although I think it is more likely a come and get me for other clubs, not us. I think his agent is touting him around and just saw this as an opportunity to suggest he would consider a Championship Team. that is certainly a very definite possibility they will be looking most likely to get him to a Crystal Palace, Norich type job

Lee Clark finally gone over the edge On a serious note, does anyone on here really think Town would appoint Kluivert? Even if he applied and was happy on 5k a week, he wouldn't be appointed. We're too safe a club to try anything like that It's going to be a Powell or a Mowbray type

We're too safe a club to try anything like that It's going to be a Powell or a Mowbray type I agree, it would seem to be a risk-taking appointment, moreso given Dean's comments on the radio. To be fair though, how many overseas managers actually succeed in the championship. For every Gus Poyet there's a Stale Solbakken.

How much confidence has anyone got in Mr Hoyle being able to appoint the right man this time round. After all, he's had three failures.

No he hasn't Lee Clark was a failure as he didn't achieve what he was brought in to do Grayson was a success as he achieved what he was brought in to do (promotion) Robins was a success because he achieved what he was brought in to do (avoid relegation)

How much confidence has anyone got in Mr Hoyle being able to appoint the right man this time round. After all, he's had three failures. Lee Clark - Took us from being an average L1 club into genuine promotion contenders, brought in 3 players which went on to make the club £10 million approx. Simon Grayson - Got us promoted to the Championship. Mark Robins - Kept us in the Championship when we were almost as good as down. Try again.

How much confidence has anyone got in Mr Hoyle being able to appoint the right man this time round. After all, he's had three failures. What exactly are you basing them being failures on? The fact they were ultimately sacked? Like 95% of managers.. grayson got us promoted, robins kept us up...clark is the only one you could call a failure - though i personally wouldnt call his appointment a failure as such

He hasn't done badly with managers at all. The last two, at least have met the clubs targets, and I take peoples point about Lee Clark.

The only one I think genuinely failed was LC as he failed to win promotion despite having a big budget by League 1 standards. However we were a much better club and team when he left.

I suppose technically speaking then LC was a failure, as he failed to achieve his primary target, but I wouldn't call him a failure per-se, as great strides forward were made under his stewardship, and while he spent a lot of money, he (ulitimately and indirectly) made us a hell of a lot of money too.
