Apparently according to one of the more reputable twitter transfer/rumour accounts.

I can see a thread full of DATM cliches ahead, some regarding bus fares and volunteer drivers.

At £1M he would be one fo the few players we would only just break even on as wasnt that the amount we paid Bolton?
If we gave him a new contract to solely get some money out of him then its pretty good business as he could have left for free pre season!

Not as bad as some make out, although damned with faint praise! If we can recoup what we've paid, then would sell.

Sell - we've got 2 million and butterfield and Coady so far for Norwood and Clayton, so an extra 1 million for a player who has no more than 5 good games a season would be excellent, if we could buy a good striker and good solid commanding centre half with this money then this is possibly the best transfer business we've ever done.

On his day, he is brilliant. Its just too bad that his "day" comes once every 10 or so games.
For a Million the club has to seriously consider letting him go. Our forward options WILL be looking thin though.

Ward has as many assists and goals in the watford game last season than Scannel has in his whole Huddersfield career...... says it all, send a taxi for scannell to millwall as well!!

A million is a lot but on the other hand hes just about the only player we have who can score a goal out of nothing. Yes hes inconsistant, yes hes frustrating, but there is also a lot of natural ability there if we can get him to show it. Plus we need forward options coming IN, not going out.
not sure on this one.

Whilst it is a good sum of money, we really do need to bolster the attacking ranks before shipping Ward out

We've had TWO YEARS service from him, be it good or bad, however you feel inclined, so it's NOT a 'break even' price - it's a GOOD price.

Is Dean Hoyle "Big H" in ze 'Great Escape'?? is he going to get "everybody out"? cue the music "tum tum, tum tum der tum tum"..
getting your money back in this case is a very, very good deal because we overpaid to some tune...

Well - there are those on here, myself included, who have been pretty impressed at how Kenny Jackett has turned round Wolves - and in our position now I'd have taken him here.
I guess he must see something in Danny Ward that many on here don't ...........
