Social media - the platform for everyone on the planet to let everyone else they know that... They've opened the curtains They're watching Corrie They're going for an early night They fancy having chips for tea They'll be late for (something relatively inane) They're annoyed at something, someone Somewhere there is an alien spaceship plotting our early demise & wondering how quickly they can get here to bring about that demise but then they've tapped into social media and realised the world will disappear up it's own arsehole so have set their cruise control to 'earth in 30 yrs time'... Agreed it gets ridiculous but you must surely understand Gerrard's frustration at not getting a look in when he miles better than anybody currently playing in our defence (Robinson possibly excepted). I probably do understand it, but do I sympathise? Probably not as he's a young bloke who's probably had opportunities to ship out but probably sees certain offers as below him. We've all got to the various stages in careers/jobs by hard work or lack of, but in all honesty pro footballers by comparison to the vast majority need to give their bloody heads a shake and realise they should make the most of whatever opportunity transpires in their careers... I could tell you I'm pissed off that I have to complete a presentation tonight for something that I'll be setting off for at 6.30AM tomorrow, driving a 360 mile round trip and in a few months time will we fulfil the promises I'm putting into that presentation. Most likely not, but I'll be in the car in the morning...

It makes me want to vomit when I hear phrases like "Brentfords quality was too much for town", something has gone badly wrong somewhere There are more questions than answers lol, but You are not wrong Scouts need sacking powell needs a rocket ross wilson needs to go Why havent brentford sold their quality players in the jan window ? for a small club how have they hung onto them when we could not ? Why didnt the team stay in london? they did in league 1 when there was a different mindset! Agree with the last bit, why the hell would you come back up...to travel back down 48 hours later?

Ted chip fat, Melvyn smooth and the sheriff will assure you that Powell knows what he is doing. He is doing a fantastic job. As long as we crawl over the line at the end of the season then it is glory days for our little club. Some of our fans are expecting us to become Barcelona overnight! Be realistic, Charlton and Brentford are massive! I don't often bite to this sort of stuff & please don't mention any 'clique' here but you are one of the most agenda based posters on this site & if I could I'd drive you to Old Trafford and have a whip round for a life membership for you in the Stretford end... This site becomes more bloody tedious week on week, yet in reality this club has not been in this good shape for many many yrs... What are you taking? Can I have some?!

All Brentford goals scored by loan players. Jake Carroll first Town game this season,Robinsin off half time, Lynch according to Town out for possibly 2 weeks, still nowhere near playing, Coady,Hogg Butterfield best midfield now have to play Edgar. Scannell no possetion, double marked. Wells injured.
Totally Fucked.

I feel as disappointed as anyone else but the negativity and personal criticisms of our players and manager is poor. Love the ups and hate the downs but take them in your stride Yeah, too right, it's the taking part that counts! Well done Powell, excellent as always!

Worst defensive record in the entire league with 60 goals conceded to date, says it all for me - because defensively we are an absolute load of shit.

It seems pretty obvious what the problems are. Firstly, during the transfer window we weakened the squad to save money, Without Ward and Hammil, we struggle with replacement wingers. In defence, Clarke was better than Wallace and CP refuses to play Gerrard. With Lynch out, we don't gave 2 good centre backs. Edgar brings nothing to the team and Millar is only slightly better than Patterson and Stead combined.
Secondly, CP is way too slow to change things around when we are being outplayed. subs in the last 10 minutes or so are too late.
Other than that, things are OK. Still a bit early to gamble safety for me though. This is Town who can easily cock up from this stage.
A bigger risk than the club seemed to think in my reckoning.

On a plus note, Reading's injury time equalizer at Bolton means we only drop one place.

He brought Edgar in , yeah, that totally baffles me, he is a nothing player. I liked Powell but now , wow.

Why loan players from Arsenal when you can loan them from Birmingham Birmingham, benchwarmers and someone from one of the worst Championship sides in the last few years !!! Inspired recruitment !!

Why don't we play the team that works the best instead of shoe horning loan players especially when they are not as good as the ones we have. Don't blame everything on Wallace but Town have lied about Lynch, any hamstring or Groin injury takes between 4 to 8 weeks. Also a bit unlucky to be playing two teams currently buzzing at home within 3 days.Lets move on and get a result against the Millers.

I think it was only a slight gamble to shift some players off the wage bill (who most would've agreed with) in January and not bring many in. As stated on another thread, we are lucky there's going to be three worse teams this year. Why pay inflated prices in the window? Let Powell assess what he has left, give him time to wheel and deal as only the cockernees can in summer and we can judge from there. Not exciting, but seems a sensible approach to me.

Some of you lot on here are worse than pathetic.
11 points clear of 3rd bottom (effectively 12 with GD), with only 11 games to go & apparently it's the end of the world for some.

I'd love to know if Powell actually thinks Miller and Edgar would really make us a better side and are good players at this level or it is seriously the best he could sign. Either way it doesn't bode well for the closed season.
The best signing we made this season was Butterfield who came in when we didn't have a manager !!!

Why should fans be content with losing 3-0 then 4-1 in successive games? Yes we are a distance from relegation but the football and results are poor. Fans pay to be entertained and have every right to voice concern at hammerings.

Let's just look at the FACTS.
Last season after 35 games Town had 44 points sat 14th, 15 points above the drop zone. Goals 45-46 GD -1 This season after 35 games Town has 42 points sits 16th (17th if Leeds get 1 point tomorrow) 11 points above the drop zone. Goals 45-60 GD -15.
That is NOT progress.

I say again, let's bring back Ken Davy shall we? Short memories some of you have. Why do you see that tonight's criticism of Powell and his players is a criticism of Hoyle? Most fan's on here are passionate about Town and pay a lot of good, hard earned money to watch them, so its not unreasonable that we should have the right criticize them if we see fit.
