Who is going to replace Powell, it appears to me there is not a long list of potential replacements. A squad of players probably on the lowest wages in the division, cannot see any decent average players moving heaven and earth to sign for town. I think Powell has his hands tied, given the circumstances he his doing a good job. Some people say we should attack and be more positive which is fine if we could defend, however if we did attack and push forward it would only be a matter of time (seconds) before we concede. Investment in quality starting at the back is the only way to move this club forward otherwise I am afraid a league 1 football awaits. Powell and his tactics are not the problem the quality of players is a major concern for me. Let's all happy clap without wins. Here's to a great season of excuses. Fuck me. 'Fuck me' indeed, your relentless assault on Powell is fucking tedious, and before you feel the need to call me a happy clapper because I don't agree with the shit you spout don't bother it's becoming more and more predictable on this forum Maybe if you get your wish and Powell goes (which he won't) perhaps the commentary on your radio will be more exciting

Town played really good and much improved football today against a team who were in the premiership last season and now who will watch the parachute payments roll in. Level playing field or what? To call for Powell to lose his job is totally bonkers. No we did not score today but QPR had one lucky break and we had one lapse in concentration. When will fans learn that sacking a manager so early in the season is ludicrous? Powell is doing a good job so far with the players at his disposal and I predict the team will start to get the results shortly with the same manager at the helm. You moaners will all go quiet then as usual! Results are terrible. Football is uninspiring. Crowds are falling. Sorry but Powell needs to up his game very soon or he will have to go. I'd like nothing more for him to turn it around and you can't judge a manager on one performance against a recent Prem team but how many more times can we say were unlucky. How many more times will we 'dominate' a second half with zero shots on target? But to not see why he is getting criticised is also a little short sighted.

Why not address some of the relevant points Cliffe makes rather than using that pathetic phrase. Clearly it's going to be a tough season - even more so if or recruitment in the next couple of days is poor. I'm not in favour of sacking Powell for a few reasons, but the main was is I don't see how changing your manager every 12 months is a way to success. Of course he does some things that frustrate and baffle me at times and the lack of wins is never good. However, I try and look at the bigger picture and see what he inherited, the turnover (mainly out) of players since he got here and the fact that the back end of last season performances were very good and, despite the results, the way we've played this season hasn't been far off, to say he deserves more time. I also don't see any outstanding candidates to replace him. I'd have a bit more respect for your view if you hadn't pre-judged the guy, come up with some bizarre excuses for why he's doing a bad job (bringing off a clearly not fully fit Scannel and loaning out Wallace despite him playing well in a pre-season game being two good examples), and maybe took a bit of a balanced position, rather than constant drone of negativity.

Just wondered?

Blinkered loyalty? Isn't that what being a true Town fan involves? Getting behind the team and its manager and keeping the faith. Reading some of the rubbish on this site I am wondering if these whingers are genuine fans or employees of Leeds United paid to cause discontent and instability in the club by undermining the manager and his players. Finish this well known saying... Who needs enemies when....

Finish this well known saying... Who needs enemies when.... hold on.. the manager and players are adults not difficult children.. discontent and instability caused by a few posters on a football site?? 3 wins in 23 is the cause of discontent and instability both within the club and with the support who attend and now with quite a few who just dont.. shall we just get worse and finally do the relegation deed without anyone having their say? we worked hard as a team today to a very stringent pattern and tactics.. we have difficulty scoring which isnt helped by a shocking lack of support for the player on the ball in their half.. we then make one bollox up, again and lose the game.. its hardly inspiring stuff.. discontent? sure, its hard to watch some of it..

Finish this well known saying... Who needs enemies when.... We haven't won a game since god knows when. The negativity is inevitable. I don't have a season ticket due to work but have made the last 2 home games and spent almost £100 in doing so. I paid it because I love my club but unfortunately I'm struggling to justify the outlay when I am not seeing my team win games and struggling to hold onto draws!!

3 wins in 23 > relegation form.
Poor results
Poor football
Negative mindset week in week out
Falling attendances - season ticket sales down, average attendances (early days) down

Zero wins this season tells it's own story. As does one (?) shot on target at home.
We could still have been playing now and not scored.
Unless we make signings, or change the team, then we'll obviously struggle to stay up.

Lets hope the team starts to click now the god awful transfer window is shut. All the players who got a wobble on due to speculation or wanted away are either gone or not going so lets just see if they can just knuckle down and play some football. We have a capable enough squad, lets see if they, and the management team, rise to the challenge.

Siege mentality. Lets play attacking football with 2 wingers and if we lose, we go down fighting rather than with a whimper.
