That'd explain a few things. Anyway, there's no reason to basically just sack it off as a draw just because we hadn't scored in 48 minutes. That's a ludicrous suggestion. As for saying we'd earnt a point when it was abandoned, well, no we hadn't, we hadn't earnt anything as the game hadn't finished.

He's not even a Town fan just a sad WUM. Moaning about a couple of lost points indeed! What fan doesn't want their team to get points. He was trying to convince everyone that Wigan would catch us a few weeks ago.

I believe the 'experts' have decided from the first 48 minutes of play that it was going to be a very suprising 6-6 draw..
Smithies becomes the first goalkeeper to score a hat trick at both ends and a very late Town equaliser was apparently scored by 'a fat bloke in a replica shirt' picked at random from the away section to play the last 10 minutes..
Blackpool are to be reported to the league for being 'a shit Northern seaside town, where Scottish people are allowed to roam freely' and Town are being reported for encouraging them by turning up for the game and filling the away section..
seems fair enough in the end..?

Anyone know what time we can expect a decision? best guess is that it will be the last item on their agenda, and they will all have fallen asleep by the time it is to be discussed, and they will postpone until a future date to be decided

Decision reached 0-0 The football league believes that results should be decided on the field of play.

BREAKING NEWS: football_league rules on #htafc's abandoned game at #bfc, with a 0-0 draw recorded as final result. So if a team is 43 minutes away from staying up if the result stays the same, and there is a mass pitch invasion by fans, then the game will be settled as the score at that time because the football league isn't man enough to pull it's head out of it's own arse?

At least we know what to do if we only need one point from our last game of the season in future.

Or 46 early one goal leads and we can go for a maximum 138 point season and a goal difference of plus 46. Then again, the FL probably took into account our penchant for slow starts in games and realised this scenario would never happen

No surprise - bet Oyston had a word before he "left" the meeting!Typical FL sitting on the fence - if someone does it again they will say thus decision did not set a precedent - making the rules up as you go along!

That's a really weak decision. Typically they're now going to change the rules so that in future games will be played to a conclusion or replayed in full if necessary.

What a joke the FA are... This decision is nowt to do with the FA. They will have their say later when they've investigated all the facts. Blackpool could still face a heavy punishment from them.

Decision reached 0-0 The football league believes that results should be decided on the field of play. Then it should have been replayed or at least restarted from 48 minutes at a later date. Otherwise they should have informed Blackpool FC and the police during the half hour delay to shift the protestors off the pitch. A shocking precedent to set IMO

They don't need to, that option was available to them. It may have been an option to them this time, but they're basically now going to make it so that the only 2 possible outcomes can be a full replay, or playing the remainder of the match to its conclusion.

It's a shame we didn't get the Town v Birmingham game abandoned when we were drawing the season they relegated us as we would've got a point which would have saved us going off the joke that is the FL outcome of the Blackpool game. Total piss take.
