Having missed the vast majority of the season through injury and only playing 397 minutes, I bet you're delighted you were 'right'.

About pointless white noise posts like yours?
Why bother posting anything? Why not ignore?

I can't believe the people at the start of this thread who thought he'd set the world alight. He did exactly what I expected of him, spending most of the season injured and getting the odd (3) goal.
Preston have wasted a lot of money on him, if DH listened to half the people on this thread, that waste of money could have been us.

If DH had listened to you, we'd have been back in league 1 without the money to waste.

If Becks stays fit he is class, lethal . Knocking on a bit now but still a championship player if he can keep fit. Think he'll do well next season if he stays fit. Best goals per game record at Town for any player at this level for some time. Shame he was injured so much in his time with us, but not to worry, we didn't do badly out of him and at times was a joy to watch.

Do a global find and replace with Beckford for Vaughan and there will be no need for any further thread building on this matter.

I may have misunderstood you here, so I apologise but Vaughan 31 goals in 86, Beckford I believe was 9 in 19 staets so nearly a goal every other game. Granted only over a short period of time.

If Becks stays fit he is class, lethal . In the lower divisions maybe, but he's never hit double figures at any level higher than league one.

Can see him bagging 20 goals next season.

I'd have Becks back, nasty to play against. His touch outside the area is comically bad at times You look through that Preston side and it is made up of players who have had massively average careers (Beckford aside). They'll have to do some serious strengthening to stay up if they win this They didn't do THAT badly!

If becks could keep himself fit he'd get 20 goals easy.

Can see him bagging 20 goals next season. Want to bet on it? 3 took me up on a bet that he wouldn't get over 10 goals last year. They lost. Haven't seen any offers to pay up yet though.
He's as unpredictable as Vaughan and even when fit, only got 2 goals in 11 appearances. He got more yellow cards than goals. He had it once, mainly in League 1 for a couple of seasons at Leeds. That form and fitness is now long gone.

I don't want to bet you cos he ll not be able to stay fit for more than 10 games, if he was fit and played all the games next season for Preston he'd bag 20 goals.

As has been said previously he's never hit double figures in any season above league one level.

Wasn't his best season as a loan player at Scunthorpe?

I suspect Vaughan would too, but we all know it wont happen. Part of Nahki's success is that he's played in almost every game this year and on his own too. Quite an achievement.

He got 2 in 4 starts on his return from injury. Still looks dangerous at this level despite being 32 and having suffered a very serious knee injury in pre-season.

To score, you have to be match ready. Fitness is half of the battle. Vaughan and Beckford no longer have it. He got THREE all effing season.
