The only good thing about him not playing is that we won't be selling him after 1 season

The Lad arrived bursting with confidence and ready to run through brick walls for the cause.
I wonder how he is feeling now a few weeks in.

To be fair as frustrating as its been with Lolley his injuries haven't helped....cant see the same happening with Dempsey, when he gets a chance I can see him soon being one of the first names on the team sheet.

I have a Mate down this weekend who is a season ticket holder at Carlisle United.
Taking him to QPR match but poor Lad thinks he will see some of Dempsey.
Unless they are doing a rerun of a well known detective series with the other half being makepiece at the back of the stands I have told him not to bother.

The Lad arrived bursting with confidence and ready to run through brick walls for the cause. I wonder how he is feeling now a few weeks in. He'll get listed in the 'ruined any enthusiasm he had' group very soon with Hiwula & Lolley. POTY last year, scored/assisted 21 goals, good summer move so absolutely buzzing. Unused sub most weeks. Utterly shite rank bad management.

Playing a young centre back from the start of a game when your defence leaks goals for fun. Said Player plays extremely well and contributes to a 'hens teeth' rare clean sheet. His reward? Not for me Son, you're dropped oh and going on loan to league 1 with Scunthorpe. Way to go Powell, your book on motivation and inspiring individuals to achieve greater things will be a best seller. Mark my words, the damage this absolute idiot is doing to our Club, infrastructure and future goes way, way beyond results.

We're going to start getting a rep for buying young and not playing them resulting in players not wanting to come to us and then our business plan failing

Probably realising this is the big boys league and that he will have to be at the top of his game to make his mark. Hopefully he will be relishing the challenge and looking forward to claiming his place in the side. I fully expect him to do that with the attitude he has... and THAT'S how it should be!

If he was, I certainly wouldn't expect it to be like Hiwula's or it would be very disappointing. Just a month or two in League One...not necessarily a bad move, as much as I'd prefer not. Not that I've seen him yet!

Haven't we a threadbare enough squad without wanting to loan out anyone who isn't in the starting 11 ?

Haven't we a threadbare enough squad without wanting to loan out anyone who isn't in the starting 11 ? Hiwula hasn't made the bench in the last few games, and we've now added two more players. Plus Lolley apparently fit again. So I'd disagree that the squad is threadbare. Could we do with another couple of key signings? Sure. But threadbare? No.

When was our last clean sheet? Blackpool? Deportivo at home when Wallace played a blinder. Perhaps if we had conceded two goals, he would still be here. You couldnt make it up, you really couldnt.

Walter, you are absolutely right, I am. I need to just accept the utter nonsense that is going on down there Players wise and park-it. I just give a shit and know as a Club and Team, we are capable of so, so much more and that does not involve Hoyle putting his hands in his pockets.

I just give a shit and know as a Club and Team, we are capable of so, so much more and that does not involve Hoyle putting his hands in his pockets. I do think in and amongst, you've got some valid points. Why isn't that academy producing players for our first team like Leeds or Barnsley, for example, are managing? We've disagreement over whether this is purely down to Powell not playing them, or other reasons. I don't get your point about Wallace at all. He's had some decent games for us in the last three season, but far too many where he's looked totally out of his depth. I can only see this loan spell as being good for him (assuming he plays) and struggle to read too much into a pre-season friendly played at walking pace. I think people need to remember with Dempsey, we're four games into the season and he's just come up from League Two. I'm sure he'll get his chance, but the role he seems to play in the team is the one currently occupied by Butterfield (as shown by the fact he came on for him at Fulham when he got a knock and started ahead of him in the cup), so it's surely understandable he's not featured as yet.
