Lots of rumours on twitter, wells linked with burnely and fulham, Fulham bid 2.5 million for scannell. Also Vaughan linked with Fulham, Blackburn and wigan and Wednesday have made enquiries for butterfield..... Sounds like Fulham want all towns players!!! Best case scenario is Vaughan leaves, the rest stay and town invest in a couple of good championship players one of which is a first choice striker. Worst case scenario is all the above players leave and we don't have time to sign anyone of note. :/

Think you're taking things abit far there fella. It's a forum, people are entitled to their opinion whether you like it or not.. Calling for someone to be banned is pretty pathetic when he's clearly a fellow town fan with differing views to yourself.. If he was a Leeds wum then I'd agree.. Personally I think there's some reet bellends on here but I'd never call for them to be banned.. Just ignore or debate. And that's definately one hell of a bellend you're defending Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards Easy to call me that from behind your computer big fella, lol.

But isn't this a town forum, we are entitled to our views and mine is that he's just injured all the time, waste of space, costing massive wages. I didn't insult porowman or boy as he's called but he Throws that name at me ?? He's worse for doing that IMO.

It certainly means no-one is going to have any sympathy for you when you crying about being called a bell end. Personally think your "persona" has run its course now (actually a long time ago). Either post like an adult, or leave.

Defo looking like Vaughan is off, even with all his injuries he'll be difficult to replace, he was a joy to watch when fully fit!
33 goals in what basically equates to one & a half seasons worth of football is pretty impressive imo, just ashame we couldn't keep him fit for longer!
He'll always get a good reception from me if/when he returns.. To say he's been stealing a wage is just plain stupid & wrong, Nick.. Can't remember the last striker who gave so much effort & passion in blue & white!
Good luck to him!

If he doesn't go this transfer window, I hope someone can take him to one side and make sure that he really does himself proud until the end of the season (or January at least). I think we actually need him.

Given the amount Town pay him, it's wrong that he didn't play yesterday (if fit). That was a game we could've won had Vaughan been upfront.
I don't care if he might be on his way. Whilst Town pay him, he should play as we are a better team with him in it than not. Unless he forfeited his wages this week?

I got the impression that Powell wasn't too happy with comment either. It would have been far better to have a quiet word with Vaughan and ask him to prove that he has a future here.

For me this all comes down to the stupid transfer window which stretches into the season. I did wonder in Nahki was struggling due to this. I know they are professionals and should be able to play through all that but perhaps worries about injury which may stop a possible big transfer may effect their game. Jacob Butterfield showed his class by playing through all the multi million pound speculation as though it wasn't there, but others may struggle. Stupid idea keeping the window open a month into the season.

Vaughan to Wigan off according to Nixon. They can't afford his wages!!!! Where does Nixon say it is off? All I can see is a comment to a Wigan fan enquiring as to why Town are letting him go to which he replied TOWN want his wages OFF the payroll!!

Very few know what's gone on behind the scenes with JV but obviously enough for Dean to be blunt about the situation. After all the money he has put in and knowing the full situation, he was entitled to say what he did. If JV is going to take his bat home after all he's been paid, whether playing or injured, it says something about him. Big salaries, big egos but Dean is bigger and tells it as it is.

So lets say your boss wasn't happy with your performance at work. Would you be happy with him broadcasting it all and sundry that you'll soon be out of the door? Hoyle has form on this with Stead, Gerrard, Holmes to name but a few. He may be entitled to say what he likes but its not very professional and undermines the manager as well who's trying to get the best out of his players.

Robins and Maskell, good as they were, both played in a lower division for us. Are you seriously suggesting that players who played at a lower level for us were better than Vaughan? Actually looking at some of your posts you probably are.

But didn't Dean simply say that we wouldn't be renewing his contract at the end of the season? Not sure that's the same as 'broadcasting it all'. JV could choose to prove him wrong. I think we've wrapped JV in cotton wool for too long and he no longer has the passion and desire he once had for us. If Dean had just half of the insight and professionalism of some of the posters on DATM he'd be a millionaire!

Vaughan had already been told his contract wouldn't be renewed before it was made public.

Vaughan had already been told his contract wouldn't be renewed before it was made public. Of course he was and it's shameful that some on here think JV only found out second-hand after what Dean said publicly at Canalside. I think Dean deserves more respect - he's not daft.

Seeing as he scored nearly 40 goals in a season for us then played for seasons in what became the prem I don't think it's total pie in the sky to suggest maskell was better than jv... Not sure about " fat Turkey " Robins though

The problem is Dean is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't, everyone has been moaning (surprise surprise) for more clarity, so Dean gives it, in this case re: Vaughans situation and once again it's not good enough for some.
