Wells has scored 2 this season. And Smithies was our number one keeper. If you're going to talk utter shite, at least get your facts right. Well we sold our number one, didn't replace him, so do not have a second choice keeper. If we did we wouldn't have needed the emergency loan. You said we sold our number two, we didn't, we sold our number one.

I dreamt that Miller scored two in one game (at home, a header from six yards and a late mishit winner, final score 2-1). I'm on the verge of a fortune/breakdown.

So if Steer had have been sent off on Saturday, who would have come on if we didn't have a second choice keeper? Someone who Powell has no faith in. If he did, we wouldn't have needed an emergency loan when Murphy got injured.

I think marcusd is under the impression we also got rid / sold Murphy, probably too much Kentish sun. No, I'm being sarcastic. We sold Smithies and the club said it was fine as Murphy will make the step up. What they didn't do was make sure they had a second choice keeper who Powell would pick. That's why instead of playing Allison, we got an emergency loan. In effect we have no 2nd choice keeper.

Do you know how good or bad Allinson is? Powell decided we needed a goalkeeper and we got one in next to nothing time, from Murphy getting injured.

Allinson is second choice keeper, however in Murphys absence due to injury we took advantage of bringing in a talented keeper with football league experience, in the event of Steer picking up an injury or a sending off during a game then Allinson will step in. At the moment Steers experience makes him first choice.

So we have a back up keeper who's young and hasn't had a chance to prove himself, and when that chance comes about instead of giving him even 1 game we go and loan somebody else and keep him as the back up. Its the football version of the need experience to get a job - can't get a job without experience scenario. Seems like we have that problem for quite a few of our younger players as Powell simply will not play them.

Anytime any of them go out on loan to a league 1 or 2 club, they don't make the grade.

Over his 10 year professional career he averages a goal in approximately 6 games, this buoyed by a 20 game purple patch at Yeovil where he scored 10 in 20. If anyone looking at that thinks he will 'come good' they need there heads testing. Absoloutely woeful, if he's an integral part of our attacking plans for the season we will go down.
Same folk that claim he's doing a good job would be the kind to berate someone like Rhodes for not doing enough outside the box.

Every player deserves a chance, time to settle in and all that . Miller has had that chance and blown it . Ok he can hold the ball up well , but surely there's either a striker out there or within the club who can do that and also score goals . The goals we're failing to score are costing us points , which could be the difference between survival and relegation at the end of the season... Remember Rod Belfitt ? Thirty odd games for town and not one league goal , not sure if we went down that season..

The fact that nobody can really come up with an affordable improvement on Miller, suggests that there isn't - certainly not somebody that would want to come here anyway.

Derby paying 3 million for a centre half and then 4 for a midfielder who both havent set the division alight is a warning to heed..
