Davidson played well today. I agree Andy, our resident scapegoat can't be blamed for this defeat.

Husband didn't have his greatest game on tues but still should be starting over JD no question. It's really interesting and absolutely obvious that his teammates don't trust him with the ball. They would rather pass to Steer. At one point in the second half when someone finally passed to him the Kilner cheered.. However credit where credit is due great cross for Dempsey. APART FROM MISS DAVIDSON DID NOTHING WRONG TODAY Correct, if Wagner can make a decent left back out of this lad it may be his greatest ever feat. He looked ok, even good at times. Amazing. Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

Got caught out of position once or twice chasing the ball up the park but overall he had a decent game. Where as his defending at times leaves a lot to be desired, he can actually put in a decent cross. Shame he couldn't turn his chance in.

The linesman had flagged offside for Davidson's miss. Think a lot of people missed that, should have scored but ultimately irrelevant.
Dempseys header was miss of the season for me, running onto it 6 yards out perfect height, all he had to do was hit the target, and it was harder to get it off target.
Good games from both asides the misses though.

I think this "caught out of position" thing isn't solely down to bad play by the full backs, the system DW likes to play means both full backs are positioned further up the flanks at times. I'm not excusing JD, as he has a tendency to miss judge balls over the top of him and like you say he does have a great cross in him.
