Here's my take on season tickets and recent developments.
As an obsessive Town fan since 1969 and a season ticket holder for years. I gave up our season tickets when my kids stopped going due to work and not really enjoying it and not living too close. I tried to brainwash them but I failed. I had other work commitments also that meant I could not go regularly although to this day I still twitch nervously and watch ever second of every match via radio, internet etc.
Now we come to the main point. In recent years I have attended less and less because every time I went I was bored and became disillusioned. I thought the football was probably so poor due to the lighter ball (not like it used to be) as we seemed to be tapping it backwards and forwards with no real control or entertainment. It seemed that we did not have the skill etc to control this balloon like ball.
Then along came Wagner and I could not believe the change in such a short time - the quality of the football, the mind set of the fans, the enthusiasm for all things HTAFC.
Now to the offer - this is all part of the above. I have been attending regularly recently and will continue to do so. I intend to buy a ticket as the offer is impossible to ignore. Two others will be joining me as new season ticket holders. It is time to back the club.

Sorry if I've missed it but when are they on sale? Too late, mate; missed it. They've all gone! 22000 season cards sold for next season. Dead men's boots now if you want one in future!!

Well judging by the number of obituaries we see on the scoreboard every week (most of them ridiculously young as well) he shouldn't have to wait too long. That's why crowds are falling Captain.

I want to 'like' this post, but I don't really feel comfortable liking the subject of obituaries. However ... Good response, pal!

I will be buying a season ticket again next season, like I hope many others will too. Many fans on these threads seem to be talking too much about just cost when it's about so much more than that! Reasonable price/cost (Dean Hoyle) + good entertainment (David Wagner & team) = Good Value for Money (Season Ticket Sales). It sounds so simple but is incredibly difficult to achieve at a sustainable level.....ask any football club (chairman/board). What DH (we believe) is proposing is to offer HTFC fans the most accessible/affordable way of the club providing this magic formula. He just needs us to turn out in number to support this initiative. It's not a panacea but if you ask any BCFC fan it's the closest thing you'll get in football terms. A football club bottom line is a business......it's in the business of providing good entertainment for it's customers (us) at the best price possible. If we get good entertainment at a reasonable cost we keep returning for more. This is how DH/DW & HTFC believe the season ticket initiative will have the best chance of working. They've put their money & careers on the line; its up to us now to do the same and simply get behind the club we all love. UTT

Taken from one of a number of interview articles with Hoyle in the Examiner: We will use £1m of that extra money to re-engage with the fans through unbelievable savings on season-cards – initially for the first 10,000 bought, and we expect a big take-up. So after the current season ticket holders renew, that leaves 2000 more to sell at £179. Those that miss out arent going to pay normal prices for one I can't see how the 10,000 cap can work. I assume he's just saying it to generate that initial rush but in actual fact it will be unlimited upto a certain datewe will shift 10k very quickly why on earth not say the initial 15k ? Tbh i would have though it more sensible to not have an early bird deal and go say £220 upper tier riverside; £200 lower Riverside and Kilner and your £179 behind the goal

Seeing that Huddersfield has the lowest wages in the whole of the UK it's a great idea. I was really shocked when i heard that on the news about Huddersfield and i thought that must have an affect on the attendances, and i don't know if it's a coincidence that the season ticket prices were to be lower but it's a great idea.

But we have been upgraded to a city; or is that factually incorrect, perhaps like the report? What might be more interesting is Huddersfield being rated the 2nd/3rd happiest place to live. It appears some on here have moved to some miserable places.

Well done Mr Hoyle. This is to be applauded. When we went to Stamford bridge last year, 2 men in a Bentley convertible were gesticulating to us. Like all the big London clubs(and others)they have priced themselves away from the working man. This is 1 City fan who hopes you fill your ground every time next season.
