5 of us going, meeting up with the Southern Terriers lot. Some good pubs at the waterfront, especially the one with the barge in the pub (Canalhouse i think its called). Near train station as well Yup, Canalhouse, excellent boozer, as is "Fellows Morton & Clayton" nearby. That's the one with the barmaid who has Tourette's and swears like a trooper. Train from Kirkgate in to Nottingham for 11:20, pub for half past. Lovely!

Some witty banter running though this thread. Makes a change from the usual fighting and mass suicides.
Hooters destroyed the best pub in Nottingham when they moved there. Prior to that it used to be Sam Fay's and I spent many happy an hour pissed out of my scull while at Uni.

Changed a bit over the years but the Trent End used to be very Cowshed like, the away end similar and the main stand too, before a player allegedly burnt it down. Bloody smokers.

Love the city ground. Proper football stadium I like Meadow Lane as well. Great is Notts for the football. 2 good grounds, both near the centre, loads of good boozers, just a shame there's not a direct train from Hudds

Team for Forest -----------------------------------------------------------Steer ------Smith----------------------------Hudson------------------------------Lynch------------------------Husband ---------------------------------------Whitehead/Hogg-------------------------Billing --------------------Lolley---------------------------------Holmes-----------------------------Bunn ----------------------------------------------------------Wells
Subs: Murphy Elvis Matmour Cranie Davidson Whitehead/Hogg Bojaj
Think Wagner will go Lolley Bunn Matmour/Elvis instead of my lineup above

Can't say Holmes did anything on Monday to suggest that he's going to get a start on Saturday. Lolley behind Wells and Matmour or Manu on the wing. If Paterson could play I wonder if Bunn would miss out. Very hit and miss recently.

Perfect film. Men are like a box of chocolates .... Or was that life? Soft centres, chewy, or hard? Men? I always think that quote fits in terms of their moods -'you never know what you're gonna get'. But given I've the nurturing personality according to an expert some time back - I like the soft centres.

Granted he had a poor game(and so did most of the town players) against Brentford but we had to employ Cranie in the holding role never gonna work that. Just think that Phil and Duane have come on immensely this year now with Pato unavailable opportunity to experiment and to pair the 2 up and see what happens. Lolley in the role behind Wells is fine though as would be Bunn and we can always change to this during game time

Matmour crocked / Elvis ill. Not many options. Wonder if he might play Whitehead and Hogg alongside each other and push Billing up into your Holmes slot. I'd forgotten Dempsey - get him in somewhere.

Shame about our reinforcements been injured but chance maybe for jordi or bojaj to stake a claim. Radio weeds reporting Town have been working on their defensive duties with the emphasis it been everybodys responsiibility.

Christ, I make that Huws, Scannell and Paterson missing, plus Matmour & Elvis probably so & Whitehead nowhere near match fit. Just underlines how dangerously short of players we are going into the final third of the season.

Yep id forgot about Demps and Jordi, had a feeling id left someone out though, tbh Big Phil defo in front of Demps for a centre mid role. In this case id have Demps on bench at expense of Flo Blowjob.......bad news for Matmour and Elvis, bench best hope for them ....really hope he doesnt play Hogg and Whitehead from start those 2 just hasnt worked in past , give Holmes or Demps a go with Phil what we got to lose?

Agreed. I think it's key for the rest of the season that Whithead re-establishes the form he showed before he was crocked. Billing alongside is fine by me.

The forward 3 behind Wells are a worry, none of them really performed at PNE and now we have injuries and no Pato to make matters worse. Maybe a chance for Dempsey and its about time Matmour did some convincing, looking like a dud from what I've seen so far and now maybe injured, we'd have been MUCH better off keeping Carayol.
Hope Lolley is back to form, he'll be key IMO, looked way off the pace on Sat after his brief lay off. Just hope we have the confidence to keep up the performance levels because if we do our luck will change, hopefully starting Saturday.
By my reckoning we're due 2 own goals, a couple of dubious pens in our favour, a harsh sending off in the first half, a wonder goal / fluke an off side goal or two and a few chalked off for the opposition. If we can get what we're owed we should be OK.
