God I miss that place, never forget my first glimse of the floodlit pitch as a wide eyed 5 year old, it was a tuesday night in 1980 in the old division 4, my dad took me we were in the main stand and I was awestruck, the noise, the smell of bovril. Can't remember who we were playing but we won 2-0 and stevie Kindon scored. I was hooked for life. Dad took me sporadiclly over the next few years but I was 12 before I was allowed to go with friends and stand up on the east terrace or cowshed and I barely missed a home game after that. Always felt like losing a part of my childhood when the Leeds road was demolished. I was working at a wool dyers up the road at the side of what was Ricky's bar at the time so I saw the stadium being slowly erased from our lives. Yes it was old, it was decrepid, you had to take a slash against a wall, but it was always home and I feel sad for the generations of fans that never got to see any games from there or stand on the terraces. The highest of highs were always worth the lowest of lows

Please please please be prolific, I so want to see a real goal threat, can't remember the last time we had a stiker who you felt could score every time he got the ball, James Vaughn I think was the last

Best Football programme ever, with best theme tune. which was from Mexico 86 unless my memory has gone completely Enjoyed that. Who scores the Villa goal in the credits is it Ormanroyd? The most unbelievable S & G moment is surely Donald Trump doing the rumbelows cup draw. Ian St John probably the most important non player in our history. We got rid of a man who had performed nothing short of a miracle, for this!! Neil Warnock had them believing they could compete at this level, they were a unit, Now we look worse as each game passes and the confidence seems to have gone already and I can't see much difference between now and the fotheringham days

Banks and card companies, when we had a card terminal they were taking average of £500 a week in charges, to a small business thats a lot, on top of essential overheads. I was pointing out that small business owners can easily be crippled by those charges, going cash only is not about dodging tax as implied by the poster above. You can't avoid taxes unless you have a very good accountant, the kind a small business can't afford, but you can avoid card charges by going cash only £500 is someones wage I wasn’t saying taxes weren’t been paid, but for sure a good number of cash only businesses Siphon off a portion that any clown could do. Buy part of your goods in cash, sell them in cash, no trace ! simple fact is, if you aren’t making necessary profits, improve your business, or diversify into another more profitable business. Or, as we employed mortals do, get a better paid job ! Even goods bought in cash(though most suppliers deliver and are paid online by transfer) come with invoices and records, all stock to accounted for, which is scrutinised by accountants. Its not about us not making necessarry profits, its about not giving a sizeable slice of those profits to banks and card companies, who used the pandemic to increase their profits by increasing card charges. I fully accept, and am happy[enough] to pay necessary charges like tax, wages, power bills etc, but I refuse to get up early every morning and work my nuts off to lose money to those who really do dodge taxes Maybe some do siphon off a bit, thats up to them and if caught they will face consequences, I just wont worry about the small guys siphoning off a few quid here and there, when the big fatcats are dodging millions in tax. Small businesses are easy targets for banks, put them in a position where they are made to feel they need card machines, I get at least 10 calls a week from card companies trying the hard sell, once you have the machine they turn the screw to increase their profits. When a card company is trying to get you to have a terminal, it isn't for your companies benefit, its for theirs. Have you ever sold an unwanted item for cash?? Did you pay tax on that..I think just about everyone has sold an unwanted item at some point. What you are unfairly accusing cash only businesses of doing is no different. I dont know what you do but take for example a plumber or a joiner, who does a job for someone on the side, gets paid for it...would you do that?? would you then declare that and pay tax on it? if you do fair play to you, but I dont see a problem if you don't and we all know most people wouldn't and I would never have an issue with that. I have an issue if cash is got rid off and everything recorded then what? The banks could charge whatever they want

No we don't like working all hours to see banks take a slice of our smaller and smaller profits, look towards the supermarkets and bigger stores for the tax dodgers. Most of us small businesses just want to keep the small profits we make to do stuff like feed our families, send our kids to dance class, maybe have a couple of weeks holiday once a year, buy ourelves a season ticket. or just generally be able to live a decent life for all our hard work Banks? I detest cash only outlets because most of the f.eckers are dodging a portion of the taxes they should be paying. Chip shop owners top of the list ! Interesting debate on cash. I’ve been in the deepest Yorkshire Dales for the last few days. Not one place ( inc pubs and cafes) take cash. Every transaction I’ve made, for everything has been by card. I feel really strongly about it, in fact I boycott anywhere won't accept cash, as it seems to be about removing choice, and where choice is removed it becomes about control. Does anyone really want to be in a position where we are totally dependant on technology? Power cuts happen, internet goes down and anything computer/internet based can be hacked or suseptiple to virus. If cash is lost we are all in trouble because banks, government have complete control. The adding of a surcharge was made illegal, and the seller has to wear the charge, the charge would be fairer if on the buyer but it is on the seller to encourage more people to use card, if there is a huge desire by banks and government to go digital then its to their advantage, not ours. Its also based on lies, its safer to use card..ok maybe a little during covid but when its still being used as an excuse now then it doesn't stack up. Its more secure...nope, people will always find a way to rob ya, they will just do it online instead. No cash means: No car boot sales etc No selling unwanted stuff for extra money No tooth fairy for kids No fivers in cards Every transaction tracked and monitored or even controlled Losing cash means losing freedom

@kevinnagel you need to try Lindley Fish Bar, sincerely, All Htafc fans. That place is so annoying! Friday - big queue outside - maybe 15+ people...as each person gets within 2 or 3 of the front of the queue, they're asked if they want fish. And then those 3 have to wait...and everyone behind them has to wait until they're asked if they want fish (or someone shouts out "put a fish in")...there's invariably someone who wants sausage or pie and chips, AND THEY HAVE TO WAIT THEIR TURN for the fish to be fried, even though the sausage is sitting there looking right at them. (and hopefully they knew to shout out "put a pie in" in a timely fashion). JUST PUT SOME FISH IN. Also - get a contactless/card reader. Cash is DEAD!As an ex shop owner I don't blame anyone for not having a terminal, these card companies rape small shops with charges, often taking £500+ per week in charges so you end up getting out of bed and working yer nuts off just to line the banks pockets. Cash isn't dead and should be protected, if it goes banks and government will have total control and every single thing you buy will be tracked...Sorry Mr Townarebest your card will no longer be able to buy more than 2 x 4 packs a week as your government says this is harmful and we are protecting you. Cash is and should always be king, due to card charges and other daft overheads we shut the shop as a retail outlet and went delivery only, we got rid of the card terminal and went to cash or transfer on delivery and wont be getting another card facility until the charges are a lot less, our customers have accepted it with no issues Sorry for going off topic chaps

Arrogant c**kwomble...millions of sperm and he was the winner!!! No justice is there?? Looking at the team that played on monday they will be lucky to get 18 points all season as they won't always have a ref and VAR on their team, hell id back us to beat them even if buzz was manager Hey now, come on, that's taking it a touch TOO far Maybe, I was annoyed, I maybe did exagerate a tad, though I nearly said Siewert!!!

Moose off Talksport claiming we want Duff or Holden, take what he says with a pinch of salt. If it was Holden though I imagine a lot would be fuming. Well, BGT finishes on Sunday, apparently. So she'll be at a loose end. She can have my loose end..giggedy

Am I right in thinking Harratt is out of contract this summer too? I'd definitely be tying him down, liked what I've seen of him so far. I think he’s contracted to 2025 with an option. Good I would really like to see more of him if he stays away from hares, we are well overdue a young, hungry striker

Rocket Ron with sir Neil on speed dial....don't think many would agree but hear me out..... Part of this massive escape and it has been a huge acheivement is how both Neil and Ronnie have ressurected the spirit and belief(Just look a Koroma for prize example), this team looks galvanised and looks like they have all loved these last few months. I have watched most games on ifollow as can't get to many games and one thing I have noticed is how much Ronnie is involved in creating that belief. We would all love to keep this momentum going, and yes its another gamble but I do think its one worth taking

Goal of the season: Hungbo V Cardiff
Favourite goal: Ward V Blades
Best moment: Guard of honour for Warnock
Best player: Helik
Most improved player: Koroma
Worst moment: Fans V Fotheringham after Blackpool away
Best signing: Hungbo
Hopes for next season: see more of Harratt, get koroma on new contract, learn the lessons this season taught us
