on the one hand they are saying we are near the 15000 figure now they are saying it might take another couple of days to add up how many have been sold - seems a bit like TOT just making it as they go along

We asked for the club to push on behind the scenes and they've done everything they could. Fair play and I hope that we've smashed it.

And the final amount sold isn't expected to be announced until weds/thurs morning according to SMJ on twitter. You for real? You have to laugh. It's not 1933 and they have to individually count the amount sold. Whatever computer system they use for ticket sales will tell them the exact amount. Why something like this needs board approval before it can be announced is a mystery, sounds as dodgy as a Bradford City attendance figure

They should be able to give an accurate figure at 9pm when the offer ran out.

Must be because of tax. Needs to be signed off by the board.

Will probably be doing all the audit BS first such as reconciling season cards to sales receipts to ensure Tina from sales hasn't been fiddling.

Since everyone's done nothing but guess and ask how many we've sold all Summer the Club have decided to turn it into an event, 'unveiling'. Surprised we haven't hired out the Odeon again. 'The number of season tickets sold will appear on screen in 5, 4, 3, 2....1 more day to wait!!.

Got to say it; poor do that they don't give figure sold tonight as it will be known. In grand scheme of it though not the end of the world. Just looking forward to taking my lads to some big games with big crowds and a big atmosphere. Should be some cracking gates and games and passed up playing cricket Saturday to make the first game, so better be good. UTT

Of course they know how many they sold. They don't count using rocks and an abacus anymore. As for any tax implications they could always give an approximate number and say that it needs to be validated, payments need to clear etc. They are just trying to maintain some interest as long as they can. I don't blame them but I can see through them!

Totally agree, there may be some political element that they want the board to know first. they may have taken payments by cheque that havent cleared but surely over 14 squillion would have been wortyhwhile we must have sold 95% of the tickets a week ago surely!

I don't think at this point I need to know whether it's 15243, 44 or 45, but would be nice to know if it's 'about' 14500, 15000, 15500, 16000 etc

That is as frustrating as when we signed Lolley and I couldn't wait to see if he was worth the hype only to see him 5 minutes from the end every game.

Think the club deserve the right to make an official statement on this to be fair, maybe Dean wants to go on record with an exact number?
