Ffs dab is miles better..being on fm is like saying you would rather be using your vhs video recorder over a hard drive on a sat box....sorry your all peed off but this season i have a season ticket but will be doing all the away games on mixlr via terriernet starting with next weeks game at newcastle..and the fm signal in north notts is shite but very good on dab..town have the better deal! Who the hell gives a shiny shite about quality... we just want to hear a report, not bothered how it sounds!!!!!!!!!

Just taken a shit in a box and sent it first class to Radio Leeds' head office. That'll teach them.

Town seriously need to rethink the broadcasting rights for commentary. Do we have a say in who broadcasts the games? Yes we do.. Who were you thinking ? Pulse, heart, fucking bbc radio punjab as long as you can hear it at a decent range

What got my back up, after switching between mw/fm only to hear the Sadford post match chat, was Catherine Hannah telling me if I wanted to give my reaction/opinion to the Town result on my way home from the game was to re tune to DAB or freeview. Has as been said previously the majority of UK cars don't have DAB ( mine included) but how the F**k are you meant to tune into freeview in your bloody car?

Today has been a good day;
Good first game victory Great performance Great atmosphere Lots of passion from fans, players and management 18000 plus fans Sunshine Beer and food festival
Spoilt by Radio Leeds' incompetence.

Didn't work today! Usually pay for Town Player. But on too many occasions disruption to service! Think I heard there was problems for some today also! Thought I'd try this instead. Not to be today.

Radio Yorkshire offer a much better discussion of all the local clubs, but obviously don't do match commentary.
They deserve a listen though for all the coverage they give us.

I agree they give us some good coverage But ultimately It's an internet station (and dab ?) Which is what people are napping about They are owned by Ken Bates and stage north Korea style addresses from their leader every Thursday ( which is actually radio comedy gold )

He helped bury Leeds in the big hole they currently sit in, so he's alright if you ask me.

You might be better off complaining to the club than Radio Leeds? The bias is quite clearly displayed in their name so what's the point. Should try to push the club into telling them to piss off and go with someone else who is dedicated to Town. Only negative is you lose Oggy and his great commentary.

And we've signed a contract ... and it's doubtful there is an FM station who would be interested

Getting angry tends not to get you very far MT I know, Ted, but I felt that I had to let them know just how cross I was.

We were waiting to the 11th hour to see what frequency we would end up on, as Leeds (United) were pissing about with their contract with Radio Leeds. They only re-signed a few weeks ago. With Bradford coming back to RL as well, it's left us with the shitty end of the stick. Not the clubs fault.

Bradford are L1 so shove them on Freeview or whatever.
Good luck to them justifying sticking Bradford on FM and MW though. Their only hope of justifying it is if we for some reason agreed to a change in the contract (can't see us agreeing to play 3rd fiddle to a L1 club or in this case 2nd fiddle given Leeds weren't even playing though)

I always enjoy listening to the phone in on the journey back to Manchester after the game and seeing if everyone's views correlate with my own...
I will drop an e-mail to radio Leeds too...if enough of us do this then hopefully they will revert to putting us on either FM or MW on a match day...

Was thinking this myself. Any tech geeks out there who can tell us what we need? I think you can DAB on iPhone? I'm pretty sure they restrict the signal through iPhone apps and similar because of the contract with town player. Maybe wrong but pretty sure that's your best option. All in all a jolly big cluster fuck

Any tech geeks out there who can tell us what we need? Portable DAB radio, with a male - male aux lead, ie, one end that plugs into your earphone port on the DAB, and the other end plugs into the car aux port(this is sometimes in the centre console or in the glove box. This also just looks like the earphone port on your DAB radio). So it does not matter which way round the lead goes, it's the same male plug that goes into the same female socket on your Radio and car. You can get the lead from Huddersfield electronics on the end of cross church street or maybe Maplins. On your radio there should be an aux setting. Select that. Hope I've explained it ok.

That is a really poor start to season if we were not on 774. We have dab at home and in car so are ok. Last year we had Town games on FM when LU not playing so why not yesterday!!

Was thinking this myself. Any tech geeks out there who can tell us what we need? I think you can DAB on iPhone? Think on iPhone it's internet radio. Works up to 3pm then you get an automated message saying that they don't have the rights to broadcast the commentary. But think after the match it does come back for post match reaction. Use the same lead in the same way as in my above reply to WTD.

Explained it very well. Thank you. Already got the lead (I think) as I use one for my iPod. Now can anyone suggest a cheap reliable Dab radio? Shouldn't be having to do this, though. Sort it out, Radio Leeds!
