Ffs dab is miles better..being on fm is like saying you would rather be using your vhs video recorder over a hard drive on a sat box....sorry your all peed off but this season i have a season ticket but will be doing all the away games on mixlr via terriernet starting with next weeks game at newcastle..and the fm signal in north notts is shite but very good on dab..town have the better deal! Sorry, but I have DAB in the car and it is absolutely garbage. Driving back home to Rothwell last night and around the M1/M62 junction it lost reception, right in the middle of Wagners interview. DAB loses reception all the time, it's like listening to Norman Collier. Point is that some people haven't even got it and RL should have put one on FM and one onAM. SImple

I'm surprised how many people sit in there cars listening to Town matches It's adds to the whole match day experience dig. Drive to match in high hopes with Oggy and drive home from match happy as Larry/gutted with Oggy. It just does not feel right without it.

Complaint submitted via BBC website. Takes 2 mins.
I have a new works car on order for Nov, that will have DAB but even then that's not all it's cracked up to be - once you hit weak signal you've got nothing. At least with AM/FM you can listen all the way to Bolton away and back!

Think on iPhone it's internet radio. Works up to 3pm then you get an automated message saying that they don't have the rights to broadcast the commentary. But think after the match it does come back for post match reaction. Use the same lead in the same way as in my above reply to WTD. I'm lucky enough to have DAB in the car 👍🏽 Posh bugger

As a supporter of Huddersfield Town, I must say that your coverage yesterday was terrible. I along with thousands of other fans like to listen to the pre match and after match coverage on the car radio. Most cars do not have DAB and this is where you went wrong, the game itself is different because if you are at home you can have the correct equipment, as I do and use when I cannot get to away games. It was insulting to see that a League 1 side took precedent on both FM and AM, surely it would be better to split frequencies as kick off like you used to and just cover the games themselves separately as you did in the past. As a license payer I do not think you give us fair coverage, especially when the other two clubs turned their backs on you in the past and only Town stood by you. The other clubs due to being big cities get coverage on other stations which is not possible for us, so you have a captive market. As the Top club in all of West Yorkshire I would have expected better.
Email Just sent to Radio Leeds

Portable DAB radio, with a male - male aux lead, ie, one end that plugs into your earphone port on the DAB, and the other end plugs into the car aux port(this is sometimes in the centre console or in the glove box. This also just looks like the earphone port on your DAB radio). So it does not matter which way round the lead goes, it's the same male plug that goes into the same female socket on your Radio and car. You can get the lead from Huddersfield electronics on the end of cross church street or maybe Maplins. On your radio there should be an aux setting. Select that. Hope I've explained it ok. Explained it very well. Thank you. Already got the lead (I think) as I use one for my iPod. Now can anyone suggest a cheap reliable Dab radio? Shouldn't be having to do this, though. Sort it out, Radio Leeds! This is the model that has replaced the one I have which does the trick: www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/9153219/searchTerm/Portable+dab.htmCan pick up an aux lead for a quid from most pound shops

I stuck Radio Leeds on after leaving the game and all I got was Bradford City. Listening to it you would have thought they had beaten Barcelona away from home not drawn 0-0 with Port Vale. Don't think I heard Town mentioned once, extremely poor

My comm to R Leeds (not as exciting as the one from MT)
"Hello - long term RL listener and Huddersfield Town supporter here.
I usually listen to your broadcast of our football match preview and summary in car on way to/from match. Today this broadcast has been (without notice/warning) moved to DAB/Freeview (what ever that is)
Can you tell me how to tune my car radio or portable radio to these channels please?
Annoyingly there was at the time a possibility that one of the two local wavebands (92.4 FM or 774 MW) could have been used to broadcast the preview of our game. These two wavebands were taken up broadcasting the same programme -- the Bradford City preview and (I assume) their match. Very strange... Am I stuck with this situation for the rest of the season?
Comment please?"

Complaint submitted via: www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/and email to radioleeds@bbc.co.uk The more the better, looking forward to hearing their justification. Didn't hear any of the show on Saturday for obvious reasons but I would imagine Oggie is fuming, he obviously takes a great deal of pride in his show and to effectively have the vast majority of your listeners removed from the broadcast must be gutting for him.

My complaint to the BBC using the links submitted, here is the copy:
On Saturday 6th August I attended the Huddersfield Town v Brentford home game. Upon returning to my car I switched the radio on hoping to hear a summary of the game. I changed from FM to MW but all I got was Bradford City (who are in lower division compared to Huddersfield). I then found out that the coverage I was looking for was infact only on DAB! Poor form from the BBC! Not every vehicle has a DAB radio, infact, I have a modern decent car and it does not have one. Please can you address urgently this situation to ensure that the highest placed football league team in West Yorkshire which is Huddersfield Town is available on Radio Leeds to all its listeners and not just those with access to a DAB radio. I expect you will receive many complaints about this situation therefore this shows the level of dissatisfaction with your coverage. I look forward to hearing Huddersfield Town on FM in my car!

Would imagine that Gareth Jones is having a difficult day at work, his gaffers will be on his case with all these complaints going in, wonder if he will have anything to say on the matter tonight on West Yorkshire sport daily.

I have just had this response back from Garth Jones!
Dear Wayne
I hope you are well. Many thanks for your email and I’m sorry to hear you had problems listening to our coverage of Huddersfield Town on Saturday. We understand that as a Huddersfield Town fan, excited by an excellent opening day win, you will be disappointed not to have heard our post-match programme if you do not have DAB in your car. Working in one of the biggest sports regions in the country it is our duty to provide coverage of as many teams and sports as possible. We try to please all, but understand that this will not always be the case in such a wide, passionate sporting area. We have three Football League clubs to cover on Saturday afternoons this season, and thus will spilt our coverage across our three main frequencies – FM, AM & DAB. In terms of Huddersfield Town being on DAB digital, we have come to this decision for many reasons: 1) DAB delivers crystal clear digital quality. As we enjoy such a long and successful relationship with Huddersfield Town, we believe the club and fans deserve this quality. 2) DAB in the Huddersfield area is stronger than AM, especially in the evening. Our main priority is to ensure as many Huddersfield fans have access to the actual match commentary, and DAB, compared to AM, will ensure that. 3) We have consulted with many Huddersfield fans and the club itself on this issue and the response was clear – Huddersfield fans would prefer DAB to AM. 4) 80% of new cars have DAB fitted as standard and DAB adaptors for car radios and personal, portable DAB radios are widely available too. This means DAB in cars is very accessible. I can assure you that BBC Radio Leeds greatly appreciates the loyalty of Huddersfield Town and their fans over the years. We have reciprocated this loyalty by being the only media outlet to provide consistent match day coverage of Huddersfield over the last 8 years. There are other media outlets, with a remit to cover the Huddersfield area, who have elected not to cover Huddersfield Town. I can also assure you that our commitment to the club and Town fans is stronger than ever. We have provided a dedicated Saturday Huddersfield Town programme, 2-6pm, for the past three seasons. Town feature regularly in our weekday West Yorkshire Sport Daily programme; and from this season will have a dedicated monthly Town special on a Wednesday. All Huddersfield pre and post-match interviews also are uploaded to our website, meaning they are available to all fans 24/7. If you look at other stations that have large sporting patches like us – Radio Sheffield, Manchester, London and WM – they either rotate which club they commentate on or simply do not commentate on certain teams at all. Their pre and post-match programmes are also joined up; meaning each of their clubs may only get 10 minutes of coverage. At BBC Radio Leeds we have striven to do more for fans – we provide commentary of every game for all three of our Football League clubs. We have dedicated programmes on Saturdays for all three – meaning each club gets 4 hours coverage, rather than 20 minutes! I hope this helps explain matters. Thank you again for the email and here’s to a great season for Huddersfield Town Gareth Gareth Jones Sports Editor - BBC Radio Leeds & BBC Kick Off Trainee Reporters Twitter: @wysdaily Address: 2 St Peters Square, Leeds, LS9 8AH

What I want to know is which fans they have asked, as I haven't seen anything about it!? The same faceless fans (voices panel?) that decided we would be better off with a newspaper programme 2 years ago no doubt
