What about their number 15 that he bottled sending off? Already on a yellow and he had a right strop in front of the ref and told him where to go, supposed to be an automatic yellow these days (like VLP at Reading) but he just gets a talking to. Also hated them not giving the ball back after Heff had received treatment, especially when Johnson had kicked the ball back at Lowe as he let it go out too. Cheating gets! It was a strange incident that! Think their trainer treated one of our players cos there were 2 down but just had a feeling that with 9 men they wouldn't give it back- and they didn't!!! Tossers. Imagine the crowd reaction if they'd gone straight upfield and scored from that. Doesn't even bear thinking about.

The refs are a disgrace this season and we seem to get the wrong side of their decisions. Hopefully the tide will turn in 2017 for town.

I didn't see any penalty incidents today. But the ref certainly bottled the red card for the keeper and a second yellow for #15 who should have walked for ranting; how many times have we now seen opposition players escape red cards here at the JSS when the ref calls the captain over to warn both, yet we had FOUR booked at Reading with no warnings? Ref should also have sent Johnson to the stands in the first half when he came over to talk to him. He was also on the pitch directing and instructing his team after they equalised. Ref and 4th official totally inept today - yet again.
In other news, did anyone else see Johnson and Fatty Tomlin having a go at one another after about 15 minutes? Highly amusing.

Again, a massive lack of consistency from refs. Their number 15 should have received a second yellow for dissent, just like Van La Parra did at reading. As for the goalkeeper incident, you could tell neither official had any idea what to do because it took them so long to make a decision. Absolutely shocking. Clear goal scoring opportunity.

I know that nobody rates him, or values what he says, but after the match tonight I heard Matt Glennon's comments on the keeper's non-red card and he offered a goalkeeper's view on it. He also pointed out that the rules have changed this season, and he summed it up like this ... The goalkeeper certainly DID handle outside the area - yellow card. Why? Because the rules have changed and it WASN'T a goal-scoring opportunity because the keeper could have kicked it away; he made the wrong decision by handling it. But he could have cleared it, therefore he didn't deny a goal-scoring opportunity. It seems that the ref only consulted with the Lino about whether or not the keeper could have kicked it. Glennon is wrong, of course ...

Don't know. As I said, it's bollox. C5 - Alan Curbishley - has just said it's a clear red card.

Right, I've cooled down a little bit and had a few beers so I feel that I can now post with rationality and brevity. All referees are twats. Seriously, I think we owe this one a pat on the back. That decision to only book the keeper helped us win the game. I'm not talking about the keepers subsequent dick up, I'm talking about the way it galvanised the Town fans on all four sides of the stadium. There was a twelfth man out there today and it wasn't the ref, it was the crowd. Anyhow, back to reality - all refs are twats.

Saw the deflected shot from VLP again - definite penalty. Blatantly uses his elbow to block the ball. Referee looking straight at it. Shame they didn't show the Wells penalty shout though.

A yellow card for handball is now for stopping a promising attack. However the promising attack here was a clear goalscoring opportunity seeing as he was last man. So either there is no card or a red. Yellow could not possibly come into it.

Just like the ref in the Wigan game should have been, the chap today should be demoted to a few games in non league They are clearly not up to the standard required

Two home games and not one, not two but three poor penalty decisions made and thats excluding the handballs which were no worse than VLP versus sheff wed. 20 games played, 4th in the league and not one decision?!

im sorry but it was absolutely disgusting today, the hand ball offence was beyond laughable. There was something clearly going on, and we must go to the FA, because its gone beyond just mistakes from the officials point of view. It was obvious as soon as the ref went over to the linesman that they were going to try and concoct a yellow card instead of a red, and sure enough, they worked one out of thin air. I am genuinely fed up of going and getting screwed, I cant remember it being as consistently bad for a long long time now. I have been banging this drum for some time now, earlier in this thread I have posted very similar in that we cannot continue like this without the Club doing something about it (perhaps they are?). It needs somebody to compile a video of key decisions from matches that truly are 100% going against us. Not 90%, 100%. I am not on about that free kick we get in the centre circle that may or may not have been. I am on about result changing critical decisions and never mind the 50/50's that we never get, we are not getting any of the clear cut ones either. I honestly don't know what's going in. I have followed this Club for just shy of 40 years and have never known anything like it. Is it a conspiracy?, probably not but then if it isn't a consipsracy, what else can it be?. It isn't incompetence or the law of averages states we would get our fair share of incompetent key decisions going for us. The balance though is entirely against us. I don't understand it. The fact we won and so many are so angry (again) about match officials says it all.

It is simply incompetence and not a conspiracy!
We did get some decisions go our way, Hefele wasn't fouled by Hefele and they should have had a corner from the one that hit Billing before going out of play.
If you're a Town fan you remember the non sending off - If you're a Bristol fan you remember the Abraham incorrect call back when clean through after not fouling Hefele!
We are on the wrong end of the stick of the bigger decisions at the moment but conspiracies are something we rightly scoff at when pixie mentions them.

If pixie comes up with a conspiracy theory about lil' ol' Huddersfield Town, I might actually think about it being real.
The Wigan game was fkin disgusting, a theft of two or three points. This really is getting beyond irritating.
It's supposed to even out over the season. I'm really looking forward to that happening, NOT.

We are on the wrong end of the stick of the bigger decisions at the moment but conspiracies are something we rightly scoff at when pixie mentions them. I have posted previously and agree that we football fans do tend to see things in our favour as it were. What's going on with Refs and Town though even the 'Independants' are seeing it (pundits for Wigan game called two penalties not given, Curbishley, keeper should have walked) etc. Re the Billing one, I can't renember that?. Re the foul on Hefele, from the Kilner bank and camera side, I hear what you are saying. If though you were sat where I was right in front of it in the Riverside from the other angle, Abraham's foot was ridiculously high and he did catch him. Infact, he could have walked too, it would have been a bit harsh though. I still maintain that there is more to it than incompetence or we would get our fair share of incompetent decisions and we aren't. But as I posted it ain't conspiracy either so why, why does it keep happening to us?. I think perhaps as I posted previously we are just a nice Club with a nice Manager and it is easier to piss us off than some of the other Clubs and Managers in the League with that call the Ref is making at the time and what fall-out he may be subject to if he gets it wrong. So conspiracy?, no!, sub-conscious thought process influencing these decisions going against us?, possibly. I don't know. Look, I am trying to derive some logic from the illogical which ain't easy!. Either way, something ain't right here with the constant key decisions going against us. I don't know how we stop it though

Refs are just very poor. It's not only us look at the Forest Newcastle game the other week. Look at some of the premier league decisions in recent weeks too. It's getting harder and harder for them and they need help. What really gets me is Wells should have had 3 pens in the last 3 home games and all could have been given by the 'assistant referee'. The handball rule isn't open to interpretation it's a red card. If the keeper doesn't stop it with his hands then Wells is in. That boils down to basically not knowing the laws of the game and Stroud is a very experienced official. All the clubs have funded these guys to go professional (50k I think) they have every right to go to the football league and demand better.
