The ref tonight was shit but not as bad as some and didint seriously influence the game, oh, and we won so probably explains the silence.

didnt seriously influence the game There were no major controversial decisions which he cocked up to cause the usual outrage, so coupled with the win creates the impression he wasnt as bad as some refs, the Bristol ref, well where do you start?

The Leeds penalty is ridiculously soft, ref got it completely wrong, their player should be booked for diving. I always thought football was a mans game, it's embarrassing how players go down now at the whiff of a touch.

Ref last might was jeremy simpson who was the horrendous ref v reading last year
James adcock has pulled out of refereeing us / changed the ref late on from him twice this season

Thought the ref did quite well last night.........some strange decisions from my view, in particular the palmer booking (didn't even look a foul to me, but will stand corrected) but got most of the big calls right in a game which didn't flow well.

How can a ref get that so wrong- he's about 5 yards away!? Having said that, Reading can't moan!!! Compare it with Nakhi against Wigan; imagine Monk and Radio Leeds if it had been at the other end! As for Reading, it didn't cost them anything, unlike ours in the cup.

It didn't flow well because of him though. Constantly blowing up for fouls that weren't and giving out soft yellow cards all round. He never give the opportunity to play on either which never helps

Thought the ref handled it ok in the main - certainly better than the last 2 home refs we have had!

Never been a requirement and most haven't Which begs the question, why don't ex professionals referee games? The referee's salaries need to be proportional to the rest of the game. Why don't they - money Why shouldn't they - When they look at their own behaviours, they are quite likely to become the instigators of a mass brawl. They couldn't deal with the conflicts that are in the game. When I learnt my way I used the Rugby(Union) approach by communicating throughout the whole game. Most blow the whistle, point and then run away. Ex pro's would get much more stick( as an example, could you imagine Billy Bremner reffing us against Sheff Weds) Why can't they - They would have to be fast-tracked to the higher levels putting a big dent recruitment of up and coming refs being kept back. At what point do footballers learn the laws of the game = never

Officials had an appalling night at Palace v Man U tonight, Craig Pawson the ref. 5 shocking decisions between them, cue a demotion to the Championship for Boxing Day. Probably end up as our ref against Forest knowing our luck...

If we get served up the same glaring miscarriages of justice tonight that we have had to suffer for weeks now by the match officials.
I am going to go fucking mental.
Well, post my displeasure on here in reality!.

Palmer must have been pulled back atleast five times in that game when charging forward and I don't think they got booked once for it
What was that all about? Consistency of decision making between refs is comical

First time I think we got the better calls from the ref (slightly). Or maybe he just did his job properly and it just feels like we got the better calls because I've grown so accustomed to being screwed over by the ref.

good to get a dodgy decision in our favour, but the Town players he booked seemed harsh, Mooy and Wells , when you consider how many fouls they did on palmer

Best ref we've had for ages. Its impossible for refs to get it right everytime these days with all the cheating/play acting that goes on, but he got most things right tonight.

But a pull back on a player sprinting into the attacking half is a booking from 99% of refs. So why wasn't this one applying the same rules?

I prefer refs to keep their cards in their pocket unless its a really necessary.
