If working people can't afford £36 how the heck do you expect pensioners on a flat rate 140 odd quid a week to afford £26?? I will be going as i don't fall into that category, but i know some that do. #£20s plenty. yes ..twenties plenty...but most 'active' pensioners now have more than their OAP to live on, don't they ? Most? Don't know about that, neither me or my wife (both over 70) are in employment. Workhouse beckons.

Workhouse beckons. I meant have a private/works pension too...the state pension was never designed for anything other than a top up... I'm late 60's and managed to have some final salary pensions..maybe I'm lucky but most people I know also have works pensions on top of OAP.. By 'active' I meant physically able to go to matches not necessarily in work still... I get your point though, £26 is a big chunk even though it's not too far to travel. I hope Town fans boycott the game and none at all turn up, but we both know that won't happen.

Don't really see what the big deal is here.
Yes, it's one of the most expensive away days (in terms of ticket prices) if not the highest but if they'd charged us £30, the same as we charged them, would people be complaining so much and even threatening to boycott it? C'mon. For the sake of six quid? Really? That's what it boils down to. Paying £6 over the top for something. We've all done that for far less important things than supporting your team.
Just got to bite the bullet on this one lads, get there in numbers and back the team loud and proud.
FFS use some of the £200+ saved on your season card to justify it if you have to.
I sat in that away end last season for Wagner's first game and although I know a lot had gone on behind the scenes beforehand that day was the start of this wonderful journey we're currently on. Money can't buy that. Will be great to go back. Definitely not going to miss this one.

If Sheffield Wednesday had half a bloody brain cell, with an away end capacity of what, 7k? If they charged us £10-£15 they'd have far more revenue coming in. Look at towns oricing this season, good prices bring in bigger numbers. They've got an away end that could be filled a lot more than it will be. £36 is an awful price at a shit hole stadium.

As I asserted its absolute robbery.

Maybe they don't want bigger numbers of away fans..... just like us!? Price obviously matters and I agree the cost of football is far too high but was really just trying to say that with the momentum the whole club has built up this season we need to get behind the team on the pitch and in this case it's going to cost us a fiver or so more than what is probaby acceptable in the real world.. in a season where both loyal and irregular supporters have never had it better in terms of cost.

But they have an away end that's double the size of ours. Town are doing everything to fill there stadium with home fans, Sheffield Wednesday's pricing would suggest they aren't. Town have two catagorys, A and B for away fans. Ones £30 and the other is £20, Sheffield Wednesday charged Bristol city last season £52.

It's a rip off for away fans I agree but some people on this thread are coming across as if it should be free entry! It's a maximum of a tenner over the top which if you are a serious town fan, especially an away follower, that's probably a tiny fraction of what you'll spend during an entire season supporting your team all in. I just don't think it should be a reason for town fans not to go at a time when the team need backing to the hilt.

Perhaps just over 65's and under 21's should just go. Whilst I would not pass for and under 21 I think I might pass for an over 65 😉

Aye, they might as well round it off to fourty quid, whats four quid? Have you ever heard the saying, the straw that broke the camels back? Well that's what this is. £36 to sit in a shit pot stadium, and looked after by south Yorkshire's finest, no ta..

It's not forty quid though is it? It's £6 over the top which I think can be justified this season. The price you paid for an away victory at Hillsborough in a promotion season will be long forgotten come May

If you go to this game you're a fool IMO. If people pay £36 they will never have any reason to reduce it. Next season it could be £38. The season after £40. Oh but it's only a tenner more....

Do we support Town or don't we?
If 6 quid is going to stop you being able to feed your kids, then fair enough. Otherwise go.
Are we making a stand on the fact this price is over what the masses consider a "fair & reasonable" game price, or are we at a point in Town's present/future where your attendance is more important. I know that DH & DW want as many fans as possible to support them at all times. That is what they are currently telling us!
Now is the best time to watch us, don't let us down.

The players would survive one game without fans. I'm sure they'd understand the reasons why. I'll be supporting them at all home games and a few away but not this one.

£36 is a ridiculous price, however Huddersfield town boycotting it and turning up with a few hundred is not going to change their costs. Only chance this will change is if their is some ruling brought in from the EFL. I personally agree with people saying our support is needed and the money you save on travelling costs/beer etc than going to a London club evens it out.
Yeah it's a piss take but if you can afford let's try get behind the lads
