Before I start I'll get the usual suspects calling me a Wednesday fan blah blah blah .
Right this might seem strange because I Personally think we've had a decent season under dw but recently I think cracks beginning to develope under his watch.
I went on Saturday (with Wednesday fan) and whilst we had the better of them in the first half I just think we totally and constantly over pass the ball in key situations.
I also think that when we go a goal down we don't seem to have a plan b whatsoever ..it's like we have got to score first and it's becoming a concern .
We def need a striker but nothing seems to be happening and yet again I'm having to go back home and have Wednesday this and that pushed in my face.
I'm annoyed yet again.

To be fair, despite people thinking the OP is piss taking, he actually raises some genuine concerns, although the 'cracks' comment is Bollocks.
The over passing is an issue for me I find it highly frustrating at times and after going behind we don't seem to know how to turn the game round. Genuine concerns for me too.

Wednesday fan or not - valid points.
We do overplay at times, and we don't have a plan B, although that's deliberate - the idea is to make the Plan A better.
Our striker doesn't suit the system, and he is wasteful of the chances that come his way, always has been.
We've also "lost goals" from other areas of the pitch, Lynch, Huws, Patterson - and we don't see, at this stage to have replaced those players with ones with a similar eye for goal.
We also don't have a player in the side that can dominate aerially at either end of the pitch, which is why we rarely score from set pieces, and have been prone to conceding from set pieces at the other end of the pitch.
Bearing in all that in mind, Wagner is doing a good job, however, we need to be addressing all these issues on an ongoing basis, if we want to stay in the top 6.

I bet yesterday you were dick-dancing about hopping from one foot to the other, desperate to post. We might (or might not) be hearing from you in May. |

We won 6 out of 7 before the Wednesday game, which of those games did you see cracks appearing in? I'd rather be doing it the Town way than spunking money left, right and centre like Wednesday, Derby etc where the plan just seems to be to spend as much money as possible without achieving anything. |

Weren't Wednesday ace though? Fantastic side, super footballers. Great ground and best atmosphere I've ever experienced as well. Beautiful city, might go for a weekend break one day. And their fans? I can see where you're coming from too. We could have been pissing this league had we turned our dominance into goals. This failure to do so has lost us a bagful of points. It is as frustrating as hell because we are not far from the finished article. The possession football is fine but we do over do it and this is frustrating when we're behind and resort to panicking in the last five minutes. Hopefully next season the improvement will continue. |
