Pretty sure Phil said replacements were lined up should we sell any of our key players... The 3 you mention don't fall into that category. They weren't even given squad numbers so there's nothing to replace I realise all of that, but they must still have expected to, and planned for, receipt of good money for those players not given squad numbers. Care to state exactly what we got for Smith and Löwe and spent on Mbenza then, since you said you knew? Not interested in your source. No idea on lowe and Smith, I never said I knew either of those. We spent a total of 15m euro on mbenza including a 2.5m euro loan fee last year.

So your repertoire is now extended to linking us to spotty pubescents on Twitter? How would we cope without you

To be clear then, you are saying (and some of your recent posts imply you are somewhat “in the know” on things), Mbenza (not Mbenza and Diakhaby) has cost Town a total of 15m euro’s, or about £13.6m pound. Is that right?

I still struggle to see what anyone saw in him - is he really 15 million 385 thousand pounds better than Collin? I think not! I hope I am wrong but he looked no better against Montpellier on Saturday than he did all last season - and yes I know that he has only just returned to Canalside but he was woeful in the games for Belgium U21s that I saw. Why his first touch always puts him in a position to go backwards or sideways I find frustrating to say the least. I always want every Town player to do well - and I hope Mbenza does but I just can't see it happening.

Still equates to £13.6m though, according to in the know Dirk.

Not convinced by either him or his mate Diakhaby. Happy to give both benefit of the doubt and see what happens in the next few weeks.

Seems like it’s still not really any clearer what we’ve paid for Mbenza.

I don't think anyone is bullshitting. People get told things in good faith that don't always work out. Not the same as plucking a figure out of thin air for attention.

That website often posts very precise figures. Where are they getting them from? If a website is able to get seemingly exact figures why do clubs bother with announcing transfers as “undisclosed”? Town are as bad as anyone on this. No doubt Billing will be undisclosed. They can’t be educated guesses or all due to pound-euro exchange rates.

Maybe there's some mole at the FA/EFL dripping information out.
