Find it very strange that again another thread about Wednesday on a Huddersfield site about how we all think we are a big club. It was the same when you played Leeds almost word for word. The problem with you lot are that you have no real rivals and you don't have that much of a history. In my life time I've seen us play in three fa cup finals beat sheff utd at Wembley win a league cup and finish 3rd in the premier league. Let's face it you have no real rivals but are craving to be part of the big time. If we miss out this year then we try again but if you blow it then it's goodnight Vienna because wagner is off in the summer and it's only a matter of time before uncle dean has had enough of selling cheap tickets to force you to watch his team. Keep them coming though ... We have a one way rivalry with Sheffield Wednesday. We couldn't care less about them but they have polluted our board for years (when they win). Thanks for showing you care, means alot. Who are you again?

They must be loving it this week cos they've actually caught our attention.

I find Huddersfield's newly found hatred for Wednesday very strange. We haven't been in the prem for years and accept we don't have a right to be back in the Prem. What i would say is we have a very loyal support considering how poor we have been for the last 20 years. We are a well supported club but that's about all now. Until we get to the premiership then We can't really say we are a big club however i do feel that if we were to get to the prem will a bit of in investment we could be a top 10 side there. That's a long way off from now though. I think to some degree, it's because proportionally we've had a lot of irritating posters on here, whether tongue in cheek or genuine arrogance. I suspect most Town fans appreciate the average Wednesday fan is no different to them.

Loads of town fans over on owlstalk telling us how we all think we are a big club etc. Think the fact that your only real rival is Halifax so you crave for a rival . Your like a bloke with no mates but want to be a mate with a more popular guy.

I've always seen Wednesday as a tinpot club in comparison with the bigger club across the city, Sheff United.

I live in Sheffield and in general find Blades fans to be more grounded and fair minded than Wednesday's. Blades fans tend to be realistic about the league they are in, the quality of their squad etc. It took Wednesday the club and Wednesday the fans years to come to terms with the fact that they were no longer in the Premier League, they still seemed to think they entitled to be even when they were in League 1,and took other clubs lightly as a result. I think this has changed at the club but there are still a few delusional fans around even now.

You just seem to have more than your fair share of arseholes most of whom pollute DATM in the week leading up to the game and, depending on result, for a few days later. Due to the season we've had though none of them have made a peep until sunday afternoon. Personally I've always disliked the Blades more as growing up in the 70's means they always seemed the bigger club. In terms of history, honours and fan base United are a much bigger Club than Wednesday, no doubt abvout it. Really good attempt of a wind up mate well done.

But the above epitomizes the level of arrogance and condescending attitude that unfortunately you see from too many owls fans, you really do think you are the best. I love the fact that you keep harping on that if we don't go up it is the end for us, Wagner leaving, players leaving etc, try looking at your own team, the millions on wages and transfers you have spent and you scrape into the play-offs, that is laughable. On a more serious note for you if you do fail then there are serious questions to be asked and addressed for your team and club, failure after failure for such a massive club After it is all over we will both have a team to support and football to enjoy. Finally on a positive note if you did get back to your righteous place then at least you lot will no longer be on here! Every cloud has a silver lining Let's hope for whatever reason in a good way, it is Operationpig, over and out !

I just don't get why anyone would spend so much time on an opposing forum and then be surprised at the reactions they get to the comments designed to be a wind up. We all know that if Wednesday win you'll be all over this place but if you don't, well, it'll be just like the trip home from a Wembley last year.

As for the play offs I don't see this season as a failer for us if we don't go up even after failing last season because eventually it will come. If you guys miss out then I'd not be too confident about staying up next year in this league !

The last few on here though are showing you up for your arrogance and you are clearly too thick to realise you are substantiating why nobody likes Wednesday or it's fans. It's not just us. Posts like us having 'no history' and no rivals, going down next season etc. Who the fuck do you think you are?. Go back to your own forum and take your billy big bollocks attitude with you. You or your posts are not welcome on here.

I love the fact that fans are moaning about going into a league we would both struggle to win many games in and which will see fans eventually turn against players and owners when it's a tough grind!!!!! There is a difference piggy - we want to have a crack at it, you think you are entitled to it. Yes we are smaller, have little recent success to fall back on and may struggle next term if we don't get up but not sure you are any different. If you fail, Carlos goes and it's "go again" but will the new man want to reshape things and change the squad The vultures will circle for the likes of Westwood and lee and there ain't any loyalty as we all know. To be honest, most town fans I know are relaxed - if we do it brilliant, if not then we regroup and try again. We've had a great season and not spent mega bucks so there will be a decent budget (for us!) for Wagner or a new guy to have a go. As for uncle dean and cheap tickets......I'd be more worried mr tuna might say enough is enough and cut his huge spending - our fella is a fan first and foremost, and whilst we all sometimes wish for that bit more, he won't leave us in the deep brown smelly stuff. Will chansiri do the same? The historic records of overseas ownership at Blackburn, forest, Pompey suggest maybe not.

You don't register, if we weren't playing you this week nobody on here would give a toss about you.

Town have no hatred for any team. What we do hate is the arrogance of some supporters and by far the worst are Wendies and L666s. There is an overwhelming sense of entitlement amongst the supporters of both clubs. 2 months ago L666s fans were talking about automatic promotion and then edging their bets by putting deposits on London hotel rooms for Wembley. They even made a play off song. During all this they found plenty of time to slag off little old Town and repeat the mantra from August "Their bubble will burst" A very brief glance at Owlstalk has the same cocky attitude with at least 5 threads on how you are going to win the play offs and breeze past Town 'cos you have already beaten us twice!! Aggregate scores of 5-0 & 6-1 are being mentioned. You even have a thread on playing Reading in the final. Humility certainly isn't a word the majority of fans on Owlstalk have ever heard of. You need to get one thing straight. We are a small Town club of which we are all very proud. We have over achieved this season and it has been a joy to watch us at times. The vast majority of fans thought we might be good enough to get in the top 10 and we would have been chuffed to bits with that. The play offs are a dream for us and again the vast majority are just going to enjoy the ride and see where it takes us. We have no sense of entitlement and no delusions. Ask yourself why most neutrals want Town to win the play-offs and why 11 of the 20 Premiership clubs want us to win. It's not for easy points or to see us fail. It is because we have humility. Just remember. It's not the size of the dog that counts but the fight in the dog that matters.
