Earlier I read something on twitter that said we were wanting an option to buy after the loan period and that was holding a deal up. Since then Kasey has signed a four year deal. Coincidence? Obviously I expect us to take him on loan anyway. Not a coincidence however I think it's more a case of Chelsea knowing if he excels at Town in the Premier League then there will be plenty of teams interested. Just making sure they get a good price if they decide to sell next summer. As we would in their shoes, our interest has prompted Chelsea's further investment In Kasey.

At least these players get access to top facilities and coaches at Chelsea. I don't think they should be able to hoard so many but if they keep producing is so bad?

Any news on Kasey Palmer then? Signed a new contract at Chelsea. A season long loan at Town to be announced.

He's nowhere near their first team so will be coming on loan to us for at least one more season Meh, loans are so last season. That's a bloody good selfie app, it even gets your own phone in the picture.

Actually agree with you for once Nick! Izzy was the final piece in the jigsaw for us last year in my opinion. Exactly, he scores aswel. Didn't they both score 5 for us ? Granted Brown should've had more when you think of the play off games and how many he missed at Barnsley

Exactly, he scores aswel. Didn't they both score 5 for us ? Granted Brown should've had more when you think of the play off games and how many he missed at Barnsley My memory is that Brown played on the left initially and bagged goals early on when he didn't really know what he was doing in that position so just galloped forwards. As he adapted, he probably became less effective going forwards, and started coming a lot deeper to collect the ball. Would be nice to see such a player get a run of games out wide, as that's probably more his natural position. I THINK Brown was brought in to improve on, or push VLP, but the Palmer injury overtook that. Whatever, there's some serious competition down that right hand side now....Ince, Kachunga, Quaner. Pretty safe to say that Scannell and Lolley have got no chance of getting any league time.

We are in good shape VLP, Kachunga and Ince can play in any of the wide positions and I think Brown/Palmer, Ince, Kachunga, Payne even Mooy or Billing could play in the 10 slot. Mounie, Depoitre and Nahki fighting up top, Williams bolstering Hogg and Mooy. Just a centre half to add. All great ages. Wow - we are building a terrific and competitive squad. Carlsberg quality Chairman, Coach and Assistant. Still got money in the bank. Happiest days anyone could wish supporting Town. Suck it in.

^agree with that...it's building nicely. Would like to see improvement to Holmes-Dennis and Crainie but likewise would expect to see Smith and Lowe given the shirts, so difficult to bring in someone better than the current backups in those roles....unless we bring in a more solid left back and zipper right back so we then have the full set of options to rotate in and out. Likewise centre of defence needs an upgrade....Stankovic will eventually be on the bench...do we just go with Hudson on the bench in the meantime, or do we try and find someone better than Hudson & Hefele (😡) I REALLY want to see Schindler and Hefele given a chance and I really want to see them do well, but Hef scares me (although he seemed to grow up when it mattered). (Of course, we haven't officially signed Williams, Palmer or Brown yet...but the key roles they have in this squad are obviously going to be filled by SOMEONE....we aren't going to go into a Premier League season carrying just Mooy, Hogg and Billing (and Whitehead?) for those more defensive midfield roles surely?!

^ don't forget how good Hef is on the ball. We have not had many centre halves with that ability and it's a very important part of how we play.

Has a storming season and next season becomes our record transfer signing...for a few days at least!
Come on then, who's next? Mounié tomorrow? Maybe Williams too?

Looking at the squad and assuming we have a few defensive options to bring in I think we are going to upset a few this year

It's our Wedding anniversary today and we've just got Ince and Palmer in. Slap up meal with our two kids tonight. Been a good day and it'll probably get better!
