So is Kasey Palmer due back this weekend or not? Hopefully he'll be on the bench. Even if fit I don't think he'd be starting this one. Think Wagner will go with the 3 number 6 option of Hogg, Mooy & Williams like against Man U?

Nice easy game to ease Kasey back in, get him ready for the important games ahead.

I didn’t say anything, He’s linked with Premier League clubs, irrespective of which club he’s currently at. I think you’ve got issues with Blake / The Examiner which is fair enough, but it’s better if the attack is more reasoned or you just end up looking a bit stupid otherwise. And you particularly look stupid when the article in question isn't even written by yours truly.... www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-everton-among-clubs-trailing-13926881But thank you all for taking the time to obsess and argue over me, regarding a piece of content that not only isn't written by me but also has no relevance to the topic thread whatsoever Sorry Blake, but I didn't even mention that the article was written by you, it was the other guy, so I don't know why I you think I should look stupid. I know that you wouldn't write that guff. It's probably syndicated agency stuff to fill column inches. By the way, out of curiosity, what is your affiliation? Did you draw the short straw and get the Huddersfield brief when you wanted the cherished Man City gig?

I'd be bringing him straight in for RVLP. He will be far more dangerous on the wing for us than Quaner or Kachunga would be

I suspect Palmer coming back will be what makes the difference against teams outside the big 6 - we have lacked that little bit of magic going forward whilst he's been out because none of our CMs have a natural inclination to fill the gap between the halfway line and the opposition box. We have two strikers who are great in the air, but at the moment we never win the second ball because nobody is close enough to them. With a front 4 of Mounié/Depoitre, VLP, Palmer and Ince, we will hopefully see more moves where the ball goes into the CF, bounced off to Palmer, pass played into the channel for VLP/Ince, and either a shot from them or a cross into a box where we should have 3 players waiting.

We pretty much played with a LB and LWB and RB and RWB on sunday anyway, so maybe just bite the bullet and put 2 LBs on and 2 RBs vs arsenal. Al

Well, we haven't scored one of those outside West Yorkshire since the opening day! Its hard to see anything other than a loss down in London on Wednesday night. We should be licking our lips for Everton though - if ever there's a team to find some away form against, its them IMO.

We are crap away but we will still pick some points up on the road. Yes we could get rinsed at Emirates but you never know, Arsenal were not great at Burnley and they probably think it will be a stroll in the park, we may have a few fresh legs in the team and we will upset one of the bigger teams away this season, be it a draw or victory. Each game Wagner is learning, just like we are. I agree Liverpool was a shambles, hopefully he has taken that on board and sorted out how to set up against the top 6 away, he is certainly doing that at home, granted the fans are playing a part and we miss that away but it is not the end of the world. 3000 will still make some noise. Could end up 6-0, could end up 1-1. Man City (1-2) are better than Spurs (0-4) so comparing Liverpool to Arsenal doesn't really matter. Man Utd (2-1) are better than Southampton (0-0).

Kasey, if fit, could be the ideal option against Le Arse. They will likely give him time and space in the middle of the field and it could be at their peril. Hope to hear Arsenal Fan Tv in meltdown at about 9.45pm

I agree for two reasons. Palmer at times last season, especially when we were pressing, played like a second striker. Also when we had the ball in central midfield Mooy and Hogg could play a ball up to when tightly marked, and Palmer would have a good chance of retaining possession, and get things going. Ince in the same position (I think he has done pretty well) has to come back to collect the bal and gets a long way away from Depoitre.

I'm happy for him not to be rushed back into first team action. It's pretty clear he's injury prone and we need to be as certain as we can be that he isn't going to break quite as easily as he has been doing. We need him in the squad, but remaining patient may well pay dividends over the remainder of the season.

I'd be tempted even when he's fit to bench him, and introduce him slowly. If he gets injured again we'll have to bring in another player imo.

It's annoying he was sent back from the England squad with this injury, which has kept him out of almost every game so far...What do they do with them when they're with England, or do the players push themselves too far ?

I feel its more what he is showing in training that is holding him back, no quite their performance wise
