The only thing that's annoying is the Nick-esque style thread title. Look at this guys thread titles and posts, then Towny's and Nicks. Its strangely very similar, either all three are one or they're all related. Suspect to say the least. Sad if true

DW is a realist. No way would he have set conditions related to player deals/requirements. I dont mean it as in sign him or i wont sign but i mean i wondered if he wanted to be assured we would try to sign him and mooy was his no1 main target Wouldn't have thought he needed assurances even. DW and DH seem to think on the same lines. They would have both wanted Mooy but realistic that it might not have happened. It's difficult to comprehend the fantastic way the club is going and how our fortunes have changed. I've stopped trying to rationalise it - just rejoice and enjoy it!

Gonna be a piece on Look North this lunchtime. Which one? Hope its Keeley Donovan. She can have a kickabout in my central midfield any day of the week!

Of the loanees to then sign on a proper deal I'd begun to think Mooy was one of the least likely (even if he was at a relatively near club) so if it happens then this is a great statement of intent by the club.

I can't be the only one who has got a bit of a chub on at this news. A bit? I've been sent home from work because of it!

Aaron Mooy... a player we all said was too good for The Championship and would definitely be playing in The Premier League next year for a Stoke, a Southampton or a Crystal Palace maybe. Well, guess what... he is going to be playing in The Premiere League... with Huddersfield Town!!!Let that just sink in for a second. Well we were right. Now we just have to prove we're as good as one or two of those clubs, because as things stand, he's joined a LESSER club than Palace, Stoke and (especially) Southampton seem to have become.

This.... surely this makes it more realistic that we'd be willing to part with a realistic fee for one of the two Chelsea lads?

You'd hope so. It makes pragmatic sense to initially chase up the best of the loanees anyway. Having the extended season does put us slightly at a disadvantage as people need holidays (god knows theyve earned it)so we will be a bit behind some other clubs sorting out summer business.

I wonder if it was a condition or part of DWs new contract that we would do what we could to keep Mooy I doubt it. No doubt Wagner would want some assurances with regard to transfer budget but it would not make sense to tie it to a particular signing. Signing someone is not just about whether Town want them, its about whether they want to come to Town, fit in the wage structure, and the other team being willing to sell. Too many things out of Town's control. Edit: Just noticed your other post which is a little clearer but I still think any conditions Wagner may have had would be of a more general nature.

I just meant as in hearing wagners last few comments about Mooy being the heart of the team etc it sounded a little like he was the centre of his plans for the year

The only thing that's annoying is the Nick-esque style thread title. Look at this guys thread titles and posts, then Towny's and Nicks. Its strangely very similar, either all three are one or they're all related. Suspect to say the least. Sad if true
Welcoming place this isn't it? Post something while being excited about an excellent signing and get accused of being Nick! Nick ffs!

Just need to convince Ibrahimovic to take a massive wage cut and on a 'pay only if you play' basis and we are half way there ;-)

We need to see Danny Williams sign now. A central midfield Quattro of Mooy, Hogg, Williams and Billing gives us a chance of staying up imo...but at least one of the 4 must have some serious pace.

Well, guess what... he is going to be playing in The Premiere League... with Huddersfield Town!!!Let that just sink in for a second. I'm struggling for it to sink in tbh. Less than 2 years since we were struggling to tread water in the Championship with a manager who didn't think we could compete with anyone but the bottom 6 - 8 teams and signed David Edgar to play in our midfield. £10 million is crazy money on one hand but not a great deal on the other, for perspective Leicester have just paid £17 for a centre half from a relegated team. Time me and again Wagner has stressed the importance of Mooy to how we play, he clearly trusts him and knows what he can do. I would imagine Wagner has asked Deano to pull out all the stops to get him signed up. I've no doubt if he has a decent season we'll not lose anything on him and possibly make something. Exciting times !!!!

Nope BBC Sport treating like its a done deal www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40289316 but nothing on htafc.com and the Examiner are just calling it a proposed deal.Still could be gazzumped at last minute I suppose by some greedy club. If it goes through we ve done quite well and saved £2m on it as he was supposed to be £10 m to sign plus £2m add on if he kept us up instead of £8 m + £2 m .

Good signing I think! You know more about him than I do. Was well happy for you guys when I saw what it meant to your owner at the Play off final. Thanks. I ve always had a soft spot for City too. If I hadn t been destined to support Town I d ave supported City. Man City are my second favorite team, was really happy for you when you got backing after all these years in the wilderness stuck behind Man U despite you beating us in our record deeat. It wasn't your fault and I ll always remember 1,500 City Fans coming along to the fencing at the end of that game to applaud us on mass that had been signing the whole match under the stand showing our loyalty to Town that the players keeping backing of the tackle didn t show that day.Hope you win the title again.Much rather you to than Chelski.I was once asked to come and help start the singing at Man U when things were even quieter there in my younger days but no way would I do that Lol.

So 8 million plus add-ons is our new record signing. I can't help hoping that this new record doesn't last too long. Yeah I m hoping too. Id go up to about £70m in total transfer fees .
