Nothing's official yet guys.
Lot's of clubs could have an offer accepted, it's up to Mooy to choose.
I hope he comes here. Finger's crossed.

theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2017/06/15/seven-premier-league-clubs-willing-pay-17m-price-tag-mooyWhile the hot favourite for the signature of the Australia star is Huddersfield Town - whom he excelled for on loan last season - Mooy's agent has refuted reports from the BBC in Britain that a deal has been struck with the Yorkshire club. "As things stand I can say that Aaron has, as yet, not signed a contract for anybody and that includes Huddersfield," said Sydney-based Paddy Dominguez. "That doesn't mean he won't but it has not happened to this point, and it's not accurate to say a deal is agreed with the player and Huddersfield." The report states that City have accepted an offer of £8 million ($13.45M), plus £2 million ($3.36M) worth of adds on, claiming he will earn £35,000 ($58,840) a week. Along with Huddersfield, the likes of newly promoted Brighton - where he would have Socceroos goalkeeper Mat Ryan and potentially also James Troisi as a teammates - Stoke City, Everton and Newcastle United are all in the mix, and it's down to Mooy to pick the one which best suits his career expectations.. Two other Premier League clubs have also made offers, but have been discounted on the basis that they don't fit the criteria of providing the best platform for regular game time. "It's an important year with the World Cup at the end of it and it's about making a fine balance between the offers," Dominguez explained. "Gaining regular game time will be a big part of his final decision. "You could maybe take a little bit more risk if it wasn't a World Cup year. "It's not a question of Aaron not backing himself, it's just a matter that the Premier League is very results driven and they frequently make lots of changes to their teams. "if the team then performs in your absence you can spend weeks waiting and working to get back in again. "You can never guarantee anyone they will play every game but it's a matter of calculating the risk. "Aaron knows who all the interested parties are and he just has to decide now what's best for him. "I think he's keen to get himself sorted and settled as soon as possible, so he knows what he's doing next. "Wherever he goes he wants to be there on the first day of pre-season." "I still think Aaron has one more gear in him and you need the right coach to bring that out," he said. "But to be fair at that level in the Premier League there are not many bad coaches."

Transfer fees and what is our budget for the coming year? My Guess with no insider knowledge
£100M Budget £ 40M Wages (with spending £10 on at least one player who knows from looking at others this is low) £ 5M Ground improvements and training facilities etc (as we don't know what they are planning so who knows) £ 10M for increased costs for policing and stadium etc
£ 45M For transfers without spending from next years budget. We have to remember that not all of the transfer fee is paid this year but I don't expect that we will budget more than this but there again I don't know.

Would think (hope) DH takes a long term view. So he will be looking at the budget over the entire contract periods for the group of players we end up with i.e. Transfer fees this year plus wage commitments over the next 3 years or however long players are contracted for these days.

All this transfer talk feels like the equivalent of having played on those old putting greens at Greenhead Park with a 50 yr old steel putter for the last 20 yrs and all of a sudden we're scrabbling around for a full set of Callaways because we've got a membership at Woodsome Hall...
Utterly bonkers, think we'll have to adjust to the shock for a little while longer as well. Whether we land Mooy or not, there will be a massive sea change in the operations of this Club in the coming weeks.
As Goodshot says, you'd hope DH is, as ever, looking at this in the longer term with a degree of pragmatism...

Aaron Mooy... a player we all said was too good for The Championship and would definitely be playing in The Premier League next year for a Stoke, a Southampton or a Crystal Palace maybe. Well, guess what... he is going to be playing in The Premiere League... with Huddersfield Town!!!Let that just sink in for a second. I'm struggling for it to sink in tbh. Less than 2 years since we were struggling to tread water in the Championship with a manager who didn't think we could compete with anyone but the bottom 6 - 8 teams and signed David Edgar to play in our midfield. £10 million is crazy money on one hand but not a great deal on the other, for perspective Leicester have just paid £17 for a centre half from a relegated team. Time me and again Wagner has stressed the importance of Mooy to how we play, he clearly trusts him and knows what he can do. I would imagine Wagner has asked Deano to pull out all the stops to get him signed up. I've no doubt if he has a decent season we'll not lose anything on him and possibly make something. Exciting times !!!! That's a bit of a bargain.

That article was written at 10am. So any direct quotes will have been taken before then.... the story broke around 11am.
Id be inclined to believe all the other news outlets to one that was written well before he did sign.

Hopefully it's rubbish and he has signed He is virtually guaranteed a starting berth with us - very important in the year before the World Cup, whereas he probably isn't at Stoke, Everton etc. Be daft to go anywhere else. Make the World Cup a lot more interesting for us - if they qualify.

It's private which usually suggests it's genuine. Why would someone set up a fan account and make it private? And it says official which I would have thought wasn't allowed by twitter if it's not really him. Or is there another one?

I seem to remember Ozil getting a medical for Arsenal while on International duty... I doubt we will be flying anyone out to do a medical etc... But who knows.
I think we are in for a bit of a wait.
