I seem to remember Ozil getting a medical for Arsenal while on International duty... I doubt we will be flying anyone out to do a medical etc... But who knows. I think we are in for a bit of a wait. Maybe Mooy had one before he left - just in case.

Man City bought Melbourne city for £7.5m then transferred Mooy to them for an undisclosed fee so basically nothing so we will of bought them Melbourne for free and then refunded any wages they may have paid Mooy so far

Did they never intend to play him? His time at Town was a great success but it never seemed like it would result in him playing for Man City.

Silly question but how much did Mooy cost city A cynic would say zero, as it was essentially transferring an asset between two subsidiaries... I hope Sheikh Mansour will reward his Australian arm!

Transfer fees and what is our budget for the coming year? My Guess with no insider knowledge £100M Budget £ 40M Wages (with spending £10 on at least one player who knows from looking at others this is low) £ 5M Ground improvements and training facilities etc (as we don't know what they are planning so who knows) £ 10M for increased costs for policing and stadium etc £ 45M For transfers without spending from next years budget. We have to remember that not all of the transfer fee is paid this year but I don't expect that we will budget more than this but there again I don't know. Policing costs will go DOWN surely, and will be less than £1m. Notwithstanding cup games, the total number of fans going through the turnstiles will likely decrease this season because of the reduced number of games, even if we can squeeze an extra 1000 through the gate per match.

25% profit and never set foot in Manchester. This is great business for them They're desperate for all the cash they can get, expecting to spend around £300m on squad rebuilding this summer!

It was always about generating a fee for Melbourne, as other Oz clubs were sniffing and there are no fees allowed for domestic transfers within Australia.

Official site yet again oblivious to the story that breaks everywhere else! There is no story for them to report. We've agreed a fee, as have a load of other teams who also haven't said anything. If the club announced every player that they'd agreed fees for over the years things would like get very embarrassing very quickly and fans would get angry for no real reason. It becomes a story for Town when and if he signs.

A bit? I've been sent home from work because of it! Is that because you are a lunchtime supervisor at a junior school? No, it's because he's a donut maker...

It was always about generating a fee for Melbourne, as other Oz clubs were sniffing and there are no fees allowed for domestic transfers within Australia. It's a transfer of money from City to their subsidiary that doesn't count as a loan and can not now be seen as a dodgy write off given they've made a profit.

Hope people aren't jumping the gun on this one. It does like it is somewhat confirmed via news reports but I will be happier when it's official.

I feel pretty sure that Aaron won't be going anywhere else, just hope he comes through the Conferations Cup unscathed, he come on in the last ten mnutes in a friendly against Brazil on Tuesday.
Hoping the Aussie manager may rest him from one of the three upcoming matches, assuming Australia doesn't qualify for the semi or the final.
