Don't you think we are giving it a go? Iook we are probably down this team won’t muster a single point so no way will that be enough, you can’t turn it around with the current players people prepare for life in the championship at least I lived to see us back in the big time again Waltzing. I believe we have the Players, I do. What I am struggling with is core elements of Wagners success with us seem to be missing too much this season. The main one being we never rolled over last season in the Championship (well maybe Fulham away!). Teams had to play well to beat us as we were up for it. Too many times this season we seem to have rolled-over and made it easy for the opposition to win which is just not what Wagner sides do.

I honestly am fine with it. Look, I don't want us to but equally if we do. I love the Championship and enjoy watching games more at that level than this. Completely get your point though and agree it would be good to stay up now we have (eventually) got here and will be really pleased if we do. I didn't go today as am away in Scotland (playing Trump golf course tomorrow!) but believe we were very poor today. It was similar to the West Ham performance Oh dear, I was a that match and we got owned that day. Second best all over the park.

We always make life harder for ourselves and come back stronger for it. A dreadful performance but at least it's out of the way now! Regroup, bounce back and confound the pundits once again!

Lets face it...they're a better team than us. Fact. And for that reason today somehow doesn't feel as bad as last week. Observations Kongolo has to be fit for the rest of the season Mooy not good enough I don't think. A shadow of the player he once was. Slow, lethargic, shite. The decision to put VLP on the bench instead of Ince? Does anyone know a reason behind this? The mind boggles how Ince still gets game time. Not putting Depoitre on is just ridiculous. A tough one to take but I still think we'll be okay. I don't know why people still make excuses for Ince - never a PL player...flatters to deceive. Good against crap championship opposition.

It was a definite pen. Stupid challenge. Ref should have given us a blatant free kick when zaha pulled back flo just before they broke though. Poor refereeing. Palace should have had another one in first half. Definite pull by Zanka. Yes but benteke was a good yard offside.

The main problem seems to be that of inconsistent performances from match to match which has resulted in never knowing what to expect from this Wagner team
There can be little or no room for the type of defensive errors at this level that were visible today , and can anybody explain why it took around 80 minutes before town had an effort on target especially when playing a vital survival game at home.
Results constantly going our way seem the more realistic way for town to stay up , and we must realise that Towns fate still lies in their own hands .

Look, we got here on the back of two penalty shoot-puts. One of which we looked dead and buried. So this has been a bonus, we go down?. So what. We will be a force in the Championship (and FFS don't quote me some of the basket case Clubs like Hull and Sunderland). We are well run, with good Players and Team spirit. Oh and a few quid in the bank. Walk it in the Championship next year?. Hell no but we will win plenty of games and be competitive and I personally prefer it in the Championship than Premier League anyway. We can go down for me. I totally get the viewpoint and have said it myself. Would prefer to stay up, in part to prove some people wrong, but there are arguments it's more enjoyable in the Champ for a club of our stature

outfought and outrun. free header and an utterly pointless and incredibly stupid penalty just popped the cherry on another nothing performance.. Huddersfield Town 0... probably the best ... the home atmosphere cant help a very impotent attacking game.. first 20 minutes had to check who was at home.. so many off the pace and lacking any bite and watching benteke have a free day was tough.. still, we are punching above our weight without landing a f-cking glove at the moment... Ok our players might not be good enough but another wank performance in a must win game , we looked like Pussys palace the Terriers . Going down with a whimper no way can that team of bottlers get another point we pulled out of a lot of tackles today.. the ones we were not second to by some distance anyway.. moonie does not like the hard games.. moochie more like today, mooching here and there whilst wasting our best chance.. mooy is more than a yard off the pace and half a stone ish over the weight? zanka is a great defender until its time to defend without a lot of help.. Ince and vlp together did not beat a man today.. Malone appears to have forgotten how to play at all.. even in our 20 minute 'window' we failed to get anything on or off target that could be construed as a chance.. last week was because they dropped off, this week its another excuse.. we are too slow and far too obvious.. they hit benteke and others with longer balls and it cost us, we ploughed on religiously passing it till we lost it.. as stated before, another in quite a number of 'nothing performances' from the town... we failed to make any impact on the game at all.. if thats acceptable to some then fair enough..

I’ve supported Ince all season despite his underwhelming performances, but today surely signalled the end of his days as a first eleven pick. He was dreadful and has clearly lost all self belief. Thank goodness we now have another option in Kacha.

The players in this division are so much better and make you look worse. Look at Ince, was brilliant in the Championship, but has looked slow and weak in the EPL. It's a level we haven't seen and that includes those who saw us hit the top flight last time around.

At times in the first half we looked like we might be capable of doing something, only for the final ball into the box to be the wrong one. Quaner and Flo down the right were causing them a few problems at times... but overall there were too many bad decisions, too many errors. Mike Dean seemed determined to help Palace but they got all the help they needed from us. But perhaps it's worth noting that shirt-pulling and leading with the elbows is permitted now.
In the second half we looked out of our depth, even more than against the runaway leaders City. The pen was a clear pen and a silly challenge, but Dean couldn't wait to give it.
The one exception being Pritchard who for some reason was taken off moments after doing a combined impression of both Messi and Le Tissier. Had he had a knock? He ran off okay. Does Wagner think he doesn't have 90mins in him yet?
Mooy doesn't seem to like the cold weather much, surprising as his bird is from Falkirk!
I'd ban him from taking set pieces though, almost every cross since the opening game has hit the first defender.
I'm out of patience with Ince (though I was never a massive fan until he signed for us). Hope he proves me wrong, but I don't expect it. I wouldn't single out Mounié for criticism any more than anyone else, I thought he put a shift in in difficult circumstances. Hogg had a 'mare also (apart from a brilliant early pass to Flo) but he'll bounce back because he's a machine!

Ince has been a massive disappointment for me.. Everything he did today was wrong.. Should have been subbed at half time for me. We were flat right from the off today. Fans. Players. We wernt at it.. Strange atmosphere. Anyroad... Stoke got beat so not a disaster.. Kachunga back is a plus.. Regroup 2 more wins We can do this Keep the faith

Man for man, Palace looked better than us all over the pitch. Miles away from the performance at Selhurst Park. Their young right back looks like he will go far. Thought he was going to be terrible after he tripped over the ball on his first touch however he was solid for the rest of the game. Had Ince in his back pocket. I agree with this, I thought we showed the right attitude and endeavour and they just outclassed us. Unfortunately the reality is that at this level, man for man we’re generally not as good as the opposition. This means we have to outwork or outfight them and unfortunately Palace were up for the fight today. If we go down so be it we’ll be much better equipped than when we came up and maybe we’ll rid ourselves of some of the nauseating expectation that some of our ‘fans’ have developed.

....but let's give it a go at staying up though while it's still well within our hands - and pick up another £100 million for passing go. I liked the Championship - well when we are winning. Don't you think we are giving it a go? . I do. Wasn't sure you thought so - expect you were just being realistic.

As a Burnley fan, I am really hoping Huddersfield manage to survive at the expense of any southern or Midlands club.
Things may look a bit bleak tonight but if you can turn your home games against Everton and Watford into "cup ties", a couple of wins are possible. Get stuck into them, Everton and Watford are both midtable and have a soft under-belly - especially away. Watford were thrashed 5-0 without a fight at Liverpool while Everton were lucky by all accounts to beat a 10-man Stoke. Butland handed them victory on a plate.
Arsenal may not even be bothered when you play them. Six or seven points will likely mean safety.

That was such a disappointing game to sit and watch - no drive, too many mistakes, watching the opposition play far more quicker and skill fully than us, too many players not up for it. Altogether a seriously bad day at the office. I feel more flat and deflated after that loss than I do at not getting the win last week after the battering we gave them. I was hoping for 4 points from these past two games to put us in a healthy posi5ion - that didn't happen 😟
Never one to be too critical of players - but never was I more happier to see the half-time substitution and our left back changed.

There is no doubt that Palace are a good side, and have been unlucky with injuries. We can do better than that, though. We mislaid too many passes when not under pressure, and so many of our crosses were poor. I thought Pritchard was doing alright, so I was surprised to see Kacha replace him and not someone else. Mooy doesn't usually feck up so many basic passes. VLP was not on it today, either. Palace, like Swansea, are big at the back, so Depoitre might have offered more of a threat, although Mounie did alright considering a lack of service. On the plus side, we dominated possession for the first 60 minutes, but lacked a cutting edge ... and we could have lost by more in the end. I didn't see the pen as my connection failed for a few minutes. I haven't heard any protests, though. We can win at Newcastle. It was a definite pen. Stupid challenge. Ref should have given us a blatant free kick when zaha pulled back flo just before they broke though. Poor refereeing. No excuse but the ref was fucking shit today. Gave us nothing. I lost count of the number of times he played an advantage for us when there was no advantage, and then didn't bring play back for the foul when we lost it. Tosser.

Need kongolo back ASAP, Malone is horrendous. Depoitre criminally underused these last 2 games, the 3 behind Mounie offered nothing - ince is a fraud he was up against a converted midfielder playing his 3rd prem game who bosses him.

No dressing up a poor poor performance today from pretty much everyone. Reminds me of similar games I've seen over the years in all divisions (often out of the blue) when you have a bad feeling after about 3 minutes.
BUT it was so poor from many players that we know are much much better than that and have shown it at times this season. Three games ago Hogg owned WBA but today he couldn't do anything and looked completely frustrated. Mounie looked fabulous on that game but back to one of his inconsistent early season games today. And on and on.
Wagner needs to get a good 2 weeks of training and get this game out of the system. Not radical mistakes or wrong selections. Just a bad bad collective display. It happens. Shame it happened then as even a poor would have been great today.
On to Newcastle and Brighton. Perform and we can get the points we've not over these last two games
