But that's the point, at that game he had hit form again and then was injured and hasn't got back to that level yet So he hasn't been terrible for a while then. He wasn't terrible v Swansea so it seems that a while is actually 1 game. He was poor against Swansea though, he looked off balance quite a bit. His first touch was poor and his passing was below his normal standard. He walked constantly and didn't look fit. When Williams came on if nothing else he gave us some urgency, driving forward.

Palace weren't a poor team IMO. There were at it from the first whistle and did to us what we normally do to others. Credit to them for producing a display when they needed one.
We need to improve our defending from corners we looked really susceptible at WBA from them and today they had men free all over the place.
I hope Kongolo is fit for the rest of the season has he has been a big miss defensively for us today and if he had played last week I think it may have prompted an early change to a back three against the unambitious Swans allowing extra attacking options on earlier.
We will get more space away from home at Newcastle and Brighton for the likes of Pritchard to exploit, the last 2 results should mean we go there looking to win each game. I doubt either of our opponents will defend as deep as Swansea and Palace (after they went in front).

Ball delivery though, we just don't give ourselves a chance, and it's been like this for almost 2 seasons now...Even I can cross a ball beyond the first defender , with my slippers on...eyes shut...eating a pork pie....while texting my mate... Pork pie in a flask or straight out of the hand...makes all the difference

outfought and outrun. free header and an utterly pointless and incredibly stupid penalty just popped the cherry on another nothing performance..
Huddersfield Town 0... probably the best ...
the home atmosphere cant help a very impotent attacking game..
first 20 minutes had to check who was at home..
so many off the pace and lacking any bite and watching benteke have a free day was tough..
still, we are punching above our weight without landing a f-cking glove at the moment...

First shot on target to make Palace keeper make a routine save came on 80 minutes, for goodness sake we are at home looking to pick up points from teams around us in the table, apologies for the negative outlook but the last two games have sealed our fate, I cannot see where the next point is coming from never mind the six points we will need to be safe.

It's out of our hands which is good because we're terrible. We just have to hope Stoke and Southampton do even worse now.

Roy said the pitch was poor. Looked it on close ups in first half, when Schindler brought it forward slowly the ball was bobbling everywhere.

I'm beginning to think that this is all going to come down to the last match against Arsenal. Was thinking exactly the same - What would GBJ Yorkie be offering in the case of a Town win to inspire us to stay up? :-) I could offer to get my arse out too, but I'd be arrested for it in Stuttgart - in Berlin (they're cooler up north), I'd probably be able to get away with it with a laugh or two from the police.

Start off as negatively as we did and you are looking for trouble. Zero intensity, no pressing and a lot of pissing around at the back again.
It was like going back in time two months.

I'm beginning to think that this is all going to come down to the last match against Arsenal. I don't think I could cope with that stress!!! Stress was Town vs Barnsley last day of the season 2013/14(?). I had to go out and concentrate on putting in my bedding plants during the bad bits. Bedding plants were in shreds by 5 O'clock because I kept having to fetch them from next door's garden.

Would still need to improve on today by a long shot, though - which shouldn't be difficult.

Under Hodgson and with everyone fit they're actually quite a good team and they've performed miracles getting to where they are after the start they had, especially with their recent injury troubles. His sides are always so well organised and then they can break with the pace and power of Zaha and Townsend.. I thought if they played to anything like their potential they'd be likely to win today. I'd have preferred to have played them at Selhurst Park again to be honest. Doesn't change the fact that Town were incredibly poor though.

It's tough to be upbeat after a game like that.
We still have 7 games, 4 of which hold a good chance that we can at least have a good go at. We're not down and out yet.

I feel like our season will depend on whether Mark Hughes gets the new manager bounce. Hey have some tough games so hopefully they lose a few and don't rally. I think it's going to be us v them for the last drop spot

Town looked very disorganised in almost every part of the field from start to finish , and that was relegation form if i had ever seen it.
It took around " 80 MINUTES " of a vital survival points " HOME GAME " to get an effort on target , and looked throughout the match like every town player was pissing into the wind
Very poor performance today from the second of what were two vital home games , and struggling to see on this form where the goals will come from to keep town up.
Even more vital now that other results go our way ,and keep looking over our shoulders

Helps when you get a penalty every other game (mainly thanks to the diving Zaha)...Milosovevic scored his SIXTH penalty of the season today and Palace have missed at least two others I can think of.

18th place...Southampton or Town. Doom and gloom here now but Stoke fans must be tearing their hair out - played two thirds of the game with 10 men, conceded but fought back to equalise and were "going all out for" the winner when their SELF-PROCLAIMED England No 1 goalkeeper Butland messed up to hand Everton a winner. I wonder if "Chadders", the Stoke fan, will be on here tonight. No reason he wouldn't be, unless he's drowning his sorrows. He's a realist. .... unlike our massive friends down both motorways. Speaking of which, that must've been a pretty sniggeristic game at the end.
