Cant see a thread mentioned with his name but he was absolutely brilliant Sunday, to say he's not started in months he was excellent on that left hand side. Apart from the sliced shot he got up and down in a more advanced role, controlled city's threat well with Kongolo and didn't look out of place at all, shows the sort of character he is, hasnt sulked about being on the bench and not getting much game time as a true professional hes come back into the team in and absolutely massive game and put in one hell of a performance

Great professional, let's hope he improves on his first PL season, but if we are relegated he'll be a really good player in the Championship.

Almost to be expected as the Chemnitz and/or Karl-Marx-Stadt youth systems were renowned for producing a number of hard-working, talented players that eventually made it to the top flight. I think Löwe is the only one to have made it to the Premier League though.

thought we looked a bit exposed down both flanks early on, but it soon got sorted...Lowe is a great little player but went through a dodgy patch earlier in the season, hence Kongolo...

Thought he was excellent - left the pitch holding his hip so a bit worried about him for tomorrow if he was to start and we were to go with the same starting lineup.

Sunday was a massive effort by all involved, but I'm completely baffled how anyone could think this. Aside from him playing in a side that kept an impressive clean sheet his individual performance was dreadful. Time and time again he lunged in at Sterling etc just hoping to win the ball with absolutely no confidence in doing so, utter guess work. At one point he closed (Sane I think) down on the byline and then immediately started back peddling into our own box!? Where did he learn this? Certainly not at dortmund. One of the worst pieces of defending I've ever seen from a full back and we had Jason Davidson not so long ago. He then got turned inside out by Sterling and was lucky not to give a penalty away on 3 occasions. Never been so relieved to see Malone come on. Hopefully it's down to the fact he looked extremely unfit and was struggling in the heat. This is not a moan, just pointing out Lowe has been a massive weak link all season and whenever we get a good results the blinkers are on massively. He'll always be a hero, though.

I thought he was immense and a pivotal part of gaining the Pet Shop Boys a huge following.

If anyone had been a weak link against that Man City side on Sunday we'd have been turned over comfortably. Is it too late for the most bizarre post of the season? Chips has probably got this one right.

Great to see Chris back in the starting line up, what a pro, proper terrier. My thoughts exactly. Always been a favourite of mine and I still can't see how he falls behind Malone in the pecking order.

Think that system we played at City suits him very well. He can get a bit isolated in a 4 at the back (like Malone).

Chips has probably got this one right. This attitude is unhealthy. He was poor but his mistakes weren't punished, City were way off it. Both Smith and Lowe had a similar amount of work to do, concentration, work rate and positioning were decent from both which was the main things required on Sunday. Smith had few-none testing 1vs1 situations and Lowe had a couple and was embarrassed each time without us conceding (thank God for Schindler and Kongolo). The things Chris Lowe has at this level are a given for any truly professional footballer, we'll need more technical and cognitive ability in future.

Terrific guy, just been interviewed on Radio Leedsi. So glad he is back in the starting line up Ran back when dispossessed by Sane, shoulder to shoulder - crunched Sane along with Hogg - Mooy forward to DePoitre and the rest is history!

I don't rate the Guy at all. I am though not pig headed and recognise the part he has played these last two games.
Fair play to the Lad.

Great player and leader, think he’s been unlucky this season as there’s players who have been much worse and continued to play. He’s not better than Kongolo but who is??

Lowe played all the early games but lost it, as did others, in that Spurs game when he was totally mullered (he's not the first).he lost his place next game at swansea to malone, but we lost 0-2 and Lowe came back straight away in the win against Man Utd.The next game we got turned over at Anfield 0-3, and Lowe didn't play again until Arsenal away..0-5...again Malone came in next game, at Everton..we lost 0-2,so lowe was back again for the next 3 games, wins against brighton and watford in that run... Since then he and Malone rotated and played alternate games, which did neither player a favour imo...Lowe was brought back again for Liverpool at home, another 0-3 and had been left out ever since . with malone and then Kongolo vying for that fb position. he's suffered in some respects with the back up from the wide midfield/winger in front of him..VLP mainly but he's also had Ince , Quanar and Sabiri there too.. In the 10 games Lowe wasn't selected we won just 2..in the previous 16 he started, we won almost half those games..
Like many of our players (Smith for example) the strength is with the combination of players around you, if you're left exposed then you struggle - which is what I think happened to Lowe (and Smith). Had he scored that chance at Citeh fans would be singing his praises now, but he's a mean penalty taker (as we've seen) and a cool customer...he lacks in certain areas but with the right players around him he's a perfect fit for me.

You sir, don't understand football.
