With you on Diakhaby. Hes not got much of a football brain, but his pace could be a good thing to have if he can be taught how and when to use it. Its good to read that hes determined to prove people wrong. Id hope he understands that so far they havent been wrong. Theyve been right about him.. as the forest fans were too. Think its not so much about proving the fans wrong, but proving that he himself was wrong to have played so shit. Youre being overly kind on Mbenza though IMO. 38 minutes he was on for.. almost half a game up against tiring legs, and he contributed the square root of fuck all... again. I dont even think that lads interested in being a footballer. I think he'll hold the position of the worst ever signing this club's made for a very long time. Its almost hard to imagine us making a worse one. Tiny little blonde bloke, falls over a lot, does sod all else 🤔 And has still been a million miles better than Mbenza.

Buying someone with potential who shows fuck all potential or effort and plays worse has to be the worse signing.

Every time I see a post on these two I stupidly think we’ve managed to get rid of one of them!
Sorry to all those who are now reading the post for the very same reason!

Teaching someone how to play football should have been done at U13s....Given that nobody else wants him & he doesn't appear to have learned that lesson yet, what other option do we have?

The best bit yesterday was about 25 minutes in. A ball was played over the top towards Diakhaby. You're thinking go on lad, use your pace here and you're through. What does he do? Stops running and put his hands up because he's afraid of getting hit on the bonce by the ball. Even the defenders looked surprised. Complete cack. Mbenza occasionally looks like he might have played the game before, but is still largely terrible. The pair of them combined aren't even half as good as Collin Quaner. Got to laugh.

I thought Diakhaby looked decent for about three games last season. Then he got dropped and shunted out to Forest on loan. Mbenza has always been complete shite though. Awful, awful signing.

Probably the best summing up of diakhabys time here I've seen. Sooner Phil realises the money's gone; the better. These two are league one at best, the money's gone, they're worth fuck all Phil. Sent from my SM-A515F using proboards

In retrospect, once we realised what we'd bought we should have immediately offered to buy their contracts out. 50 to 60% is the going rate for a players contract buyout and had we done that, and they accepted, we'd have saved ourselves a heap of money and they would have had a chance to rebuild their 'careers' in France or Belgium.

Both out of contract at the end of the season, both highly unlikely to be offered or sign a new one, both able to sign a pre contract agreement with a foreign club in 103 days time.

The Brentford co commentator yesterday ( think was Marcus Bent but not sure) commented at least twice on Diakhabys body language and attitude in the game. As said by others, these wastes of space arent worth a carrot and they arent the only ones.

As said by others, these wastes of space arent worth a carrot and they arent the only ones. Cowley knew that hence why he was fired. Phil knows better as he has his FA level 1 coaching badge and therefore appointed Carlos and told him to use the speed twins. A management team of Alex Ferguson, José mourinho and sir Alf Ramsay would not get a show out of these two cretins.

The fact that these two are still in our first choice starting xi says more about the running of our club than anything else. You can have your opinion on the Cowleys but at least they had sidelined these wasters.

Remember first time I saw diakhaby came on, might have been against Fulham, not too sure, anyway, ran 100 miles an hour into a ball over the top, I thought Christ this guy looks good, then he smashed the ball over towards argos, and that’s the best I’ve seen 😃😃

One on one with the keeper, took it early and nearly hit the corner flag.

Mbenza has been improving every game and Diakhaby had a great game today and was a threat but for a few misunderstandings.

Then was expecting a couple of steadying touches but he took the shot early and instinctively I shouted ‘genius’ thinking he’d completely taken the keeper out of the question. He had but also any chance of a goal. Think it even went for a throw in

Whereas I said after the Birmingham game if Diakhaby ever wears a Town shirt again it's be a travesty but he does do some good stuff occasionally and maybe he just needs a run in the team, his confidence must be shot to bits in all honesty. Sounds like he had a good game today.
Mbenza has been decent so far without being spectacular, his goal on Wednesday being the highlight.

Both were signed for their potential but nowhere near PL level. This coupled with the Cowleys isolating them must have shot their confidence completely. We now have a coach who believes in them and that has made the difference. Yes they will have bad games, frustrate but if CC can develop their true potential we could have 2 reakly good players on our hands.
