It's the double standards I find most disappointing. People on here have called UKIP members Vile Filth, and the likes of Grimois continually insinuate that anyone they disagree with is alt-right (by which they mean covert far right). Grimois even tried this trick with Jordan Peterson, but quickly went quiet when challenged.
These insults and insinuations generally go unpunished.

To be honest, though, I am as suspicious of white liberals trying to play down the Asian Muslim connection as I am the far right tendency to exaggerate the problem. The situation certainly gets overblown, and especially by those who conveniently forget about the Catholic and British establishment problems. There is no denying that. I think the comments section below that article is very telling, however, with further research being quoted and allegations of bias. I seriously doubt that Quilliam (Asian Muslims) would criticise their own community just for the hell of it. Like any academic research, it is rarely the whole truth. I have seen so many articles that claim to prove anthropogenic global warming which I know to be complete bollocks, for example. Do you have a link for where Jordan Peterson has quoted this work? Not doubting you, but I haven't seen it yet. I haven't claimed anything about Jordan Peterson. I don't think these these are trying to play down the Asian/Muslim issue so much as put it into a perspective by highlighting that both the rhetoric and the Quilliam report are massively divisive and misrepresentative. It's certainly bit claiming there's no issue but it's right to question the motives of the far right and the report's authors when they are so myopic. I do not insinuate that anyone I disagree with is alt-right. I have stated that some have posted views that clearly align with the alt-right. I have never for example, suggested Otium is alt-right. I have only (to my knowledge) accused one person of being potentially mentally ill, and their last post on this thread seems to back up my assertion. As for going unpunished, implying someone holds a particular view does not contravene the rules of this forum. I have only found one post where I specifically mention UKIP in a derogatory way, in which I stated: "UKIP,the EDL and the BNP are all different shades on the same Dulux colour chart. They are, effectively, 3 pieces of the same turd that have been subjected to varying degrees of attempts to polish them, roll them in glitter and tie a bow around them." I stand by that. But he clearly isnt, his motive is plain to see, to apease those who hold similar views in a vain attempt to gain popularity. If this whole joke was in a official appeal court, otium would be cleared of all charges and given a public apology. All admins who voted in favour of this ban do so in the opinion that otium is a homophobe, yet not one has the courage to display this.
