Diakarby is unlikely to feature this season, Quaner is a last resort, at least he doesn’t “answer” back or challenge Wagners authority. Threw a tantrum on being subbed last season. Can't recall which game but had words with Wagner and stormed off down tunnel. I remember Ogden commentating on it, and how it seemed out of character. Spurs away, he was awful

We surely wouldn't let him go without having someone waiting in the wings. I guess time will tell.
Dying to know why he's effectively been frozen out. It'll come out in the wash.

He's done a good job for us, if he had an end product he'd be a very good player....but that is a significant if. Free up wages and move on.

My source at the Club says he ran off with Wagner's daughter, stepped over her a couple of times then dumped her into a stand. He's usually pretty reliable.

Fell out big time with Wagner, told time after time to pass when he would put teammates in goal scoring positions, continued to play as he ( VLP) wanted, therefore was not picked and would not be picked. Totally bad attitude according to Wagner, not a team player. So he goes. I like VLP and will be sad to see him leave - he’s been a big part in 2 fantastic seasons and one of the most skilful wingers I’ve seen at town (shame about the final ball and all that) However I can believe the selfish side. For example when we played Bournemouth earlier in 2018 and we got a 92nd min penalty eveyone was expecting Mounié to take it and complete a hat trick (I know his second was retrospectively given as a OG) however VLP grabbed the ball - just like he did against reading in the promotion seasom when he missed Wagner said after Bournemouth that the designated penalty taker was subbed so it just showed to me VLP being selfish/ not a team player - I think we all wanted Mounié on that pen Anyway that’s part of game I guess and like I say he leaves with my best wishes and thanks.

Exactly, somethings happened behind closed doors. Why on earth would the club wheel him out at half time against Saints for the raffle draw? Bizarre. So he could get one final cheer from the fans and say goodbye as he obviously wasn’t going to be able to do it in a shirt on the pitch before the end of December. It was pretty obvious when Rambo did that at halftime that he was on his way.

The Wagner's daughter thing smells like bullshit.. and I'm assuming all we're basing it on is some deadbeat who said it on twitter who has 50 followers?
Though whilst we are on the subject, my dad's mate always said that the reason Warnock left here was because he was in bed with the chairman Mrs.. Can anyone confirm?

Not premiership class, however nor are any of the team bar the two centre backs Mooy and billing. What he has got is pace and he is direct, our best option as a wing back in our set up. He should be in the team, end of story.

Skysports have just shown a video of him walking into Middlesbrough’s training ground so looks like this is definitely happening.
Last season I was certain that he needed to be replaced. We spend millions and bring in three wingers but non of them have shown to be good enough. Not that they have had much of a chance. Feel a bit sorry for him as he has been frozen out.

Well he's there now. How the fuck can we possibly do this when yesterday we had just 1 winger on the bench and it was Colin fucking Quaner? Ridiculous.

So loan, option to buy in the summer. I wonder how much the transfer fee figure will be? I'd take a guess at £3-to-5M?

There was a time when I would be positive about this but Wagner has had 3 windows to buy premiership quality players Kongolo apart they have all been shit buys. Got absolutely no faith in our transfer dealings.

Got absolutely no faith in our transfer dealings. Lossl, Zanka, Mooy, Durm, Pritchard, Mounie, Depoitre were all shit buys, 6 out of the 7 of whom were major reasons why we stayed up last season? That's utter bollocks.

I saw this yesterday. Obviously got no idea if there is any truth in the comment. If that is true surely she was fraternising too so has she been sent to a Convent.

So strange that he was starting games at the beginning of the season and then not even made the bench since. Granted he's not got his flaws but for the last 2 years he's been our best outlet, best winger and probably still is. Scored some crucial goals last year which people seem to forget. Mbenza still has the opportunity to be better than VLP. He's just had his longest run in the starting line up... VLP was a marmite player. He has the ability but just seemed to want to beat a man for the second and third time when not needed. I may also be a little blinkered in this part if my analysis but didn't he have a habit of wanting to bring the ball back and cross with his right foot on the left wing? Crossing a ball with the more natural foot always seems the best option as the forwards can attack it. Whereas playing it as an in swinger makes it easier for the defence. I've always been 50-50 with him. There's definitely something there but it seems like he wants to be a show pony too often... The only players skilful enough to carry that off effectively are out of our budget... He had a shit load of faults - your right. But marmite is better than dross.

If all this is true then sorry Herr Wagner you are showing a side of you that is totally unfair .Your daughter is a grown woman and surely she is free to make her own choices.

I've seen shorter keepers in the top division. Truth is he wasn't good enough. Maybe in the malnourished, rickets, scurvy stunted growth 1960's.... I remember Joe Corrigan was considered a giant back in the 70s at 6ft 4. Probably average for a keeper now. Sadly he was nowhere near professional standards.
70s actually. And younger than Corrigan.
