So much for using his time at Town as a stepping-stone to greater things.

So strange that he was starting games at the beginning of the season and then not even made the bench since. Granted he's not got his flaws but for the last 2 years he's been our best outlet, best winger and probably still is. Scored some crucial goals last year which people seem to forget.

Fucking stupid business regardless of his final product etc he is our best winger which says an awful lot about our summer recruitment, makes no sense whats so ever.
Mbenza showed he had a bit about him but VLP is our best winger at getting his head down and driving us forward, he is capable of beating full backs and he is an absolute work horse, I'm sorry to see him go and personally think its a stupid decision but hey ho.

I bet Pulis has signed him on that goal he scored against West Brom when he was manager. Don’t be expecting that week in week out 😂

Makes no sense if he is surplus to us which his game time seems to suggest then we should be cashing in not loaning

The bizarre transfer dealings continue. Fucking ridiculous decision. Let last season's best wingers go and replace them with £25M worth of crap.
With transfer dealings like ours we deserve to go down. Can't be trusted with the Premier League money.
Next seasons gonna be frustrating watching players we let go out perform us week in week out.

Thing is I can’t believe we haven’t even tried using him when we have to watch the likes of Colin ffs.
Actually thought Mbenza had a go first half yesterday but had even less end product than VLP at least he could run forward with the ball.
Let’s just hope we are offloading to bring in-still got a slim chance but have to get minimum 4 points from next 2 due to the opposition but seeing as we haven’t done it against teams around us I fear it’s going to be a long 2nd half of season.

Don’t be expecting that week in week out 😂 What a cracker it was (and important too) - If West Brom (who finished bottom) had won that game against us they would have finished above us. Fine margins and all that.

So much for using his time at Town as a stepping-stone to greater things. Three years ago, going to 'Borough, would have been moving on to greater things!

Yesterday Mbenza showed a tiny fraction of what VLP did in every game last season. Shows how bad we are that we feel quite encouraged by it. If it wasn't town our transfer business would be funny it's that fucking bad. I bet Montpellier are pissing themselves same as forest, Monaco, Stoke and soon to be boro. We must be getting quite a reputation in the game, buy high, sell low. Clowns. Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

Are we thinking about next season? If we go down we’re going to lose some players - VLP, Jack Payne and Lewis O’Brien could do a job in the Championship, particularly as squad players, so we may be strategising for this scenario.

Sounds like a fall out between VLP and Wagner so he'll only be staying if Wagner goes

He’s our best winger and he played a msssive part in both promotion and survival. I think it’s a stupid decision given the predicament we are in, but DW doesn’t seem to like attacking players anymore. We are the most defensive, negative side in the league and we wonder why we don’t score.

Mbenza still has the opportunity to be better than VLP. He's just had his longest run in the starting line up... VLP was a marmite player. He has the ability but just seemed to want to beat a man for the second and third time when not needed. I may also be a little blinkered in this part if my analysis but didn't he have a habit of wanting to bring the ball back and cross with his right foot on the left wing? Crossing a ball with the more natural foot always seems the best option as the forwards can attack it. Whereas playing it as an in swinger makes it easier for the defence. I've always been 50-50 with him. There's definitely something there but it seems like he wants to be a show pony too often... The only players skilful enough to carry that off effectively are out of our budget...

Harsh on Mbenza the lads starting to show he can play. Hope Diakhaby and Sobhi are both moved on in January though they are both absolutely crap and behind Colin in the pecking order.

What do Zaha and Moyes have in common that Van La Parra and Wagner also have in common I wonder?

Wasn't long ago I felt we were in a great position in regards to transfers, even last season so to speak but this year its all gone completely wrong? Rebbe has a lot to answer for but so does the board and Wagner himself? Monaco fans were pissing themselves when we signed Diakhaby so which Town scout sat down watched the lad play live and thought "yeah he's good him", embarrassing.

Debatable whether he'll ever be imo, he's 21 isn't he and cost £13M. Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

Something must have happened for him to be a certain in the squad for 2 years and to be starting games at the start of this season to then all of sudden not even making the bench and Quaner getting on there.
