I have told you why he is going, fallout with Wagner, purely a footballing matter, nothing to do with anybody’s private life.

The Wagner's daughter thing smells like bullshit.. and I'm assuming all we're basing it on is some deadbeat who said it on twitter who has 50 followers? Though whilst we are on the subject, my dad's mate always said that the reason Warnock left here was because he was in bed with the chairman Mrs.. Can anyone confirm? This. It's a common trope and I'm surprised people aren't more skeptical! This type of rumour gets rolled out regularly... She’s about 18. And has a German bloke same age. His other daughter is a sports reporter. And lives in Munich. In summary, what a load of fucking guff.

Warnock left because he wanted to set up a new club shop and wanted a large cut of the proceeds.

We've all seen enough of vlp to realise he isn't going to kick start a renaissance at this level for us. If letting him and a few others depart allows us to bring in 2 or 3 to make a difference then so be it. That's football.

I'm a big admirer of VLP despite his failings....but he's a good champ player not prem league.

Christ, some people need to get a grip, he’s the most frustrating player in the squad, he flatters to deceive and he certainly isn’t the answer to our woes this season. Move him on, make a profit and hopefully replace with better. The season isn’t over yet, as many seem to think, a few good signings in January and we could be climbing the league!!

VLP has been a good signing. Played his part in our success over the last few seasons. Has blown hot and cold at times but when he’s on his A game, one of the few who was clearly good enough for this league. Disappointed non-footballing stuff means he’s leaving, but given the form of some of the squad around him then the relationship must have broken down completely if he’s been allowed to leave. He’ll get a clap not a jeer from me if we see him on the pitch with another club.

That's the trouble with stupid tittle tattle rumours, they quickly become facts regardless of nothing to support the allegations.

Can’t believe that a drop in form, or the change to a complete focus on wing backs means he is getting nowhere near the starting line up. The club have made references to a back problem I think in the past but he’s going to another club? He was quite a big part of the team last year but has been pushed out of the team by better performing squad members this season? Clearly I don’t know for sure what has happened but surely this points to some sort of fall out? I’m not criticising either party, I know he has divided opinion most of his time here but I would have liked to see him play a part in the second half of the season, he is part of our goal assist and scoring record deficit from last season to this I think.

What you say is probably right. But so is the view that despite all that, he is still better than the other wide options we have. "a few good signings in january' is a lot easier said than done and our track record of bringing in better than VLP last summer ( when its much easier to do than in January ) doesn't exactly fill you with confidence we'll manage it this window.

I bet Pulis has signed him on that goal he scored against West Brom when he was manager. Don’t be expecting that week in week out 😂 What a cracker it was (and important too) - If West Brom (who finished bottom) had won that game against us they would have finished above us. Fine margins and all that. Pardew were manager in that game.

I liked Raji, Breath of fresh air when he first arrived, Got me out of my seat, Great at dribbling, Running at pace with the ball, Alas, he is unable to pick a pass, send over a decent cross or score, So really imo he is a step up from Scannell, Take the ball upfield away from our goal, But little else.
All that said, If he could cross, Pick a pass or finish, We would never have seen him at Town, Good luck Raj, But there is only one boss at Town, and you don't fuck him about, Rightly so imo.

I know it has been said below but although I liked him as a character and he was an OKish player, he was totally deluded to think he was using town as some kind of stepping stone for greatness.
Good luck to him all the same and this time hopefully he keeps his feet firmly on the ground and does his talking on the pitch.

Whilst I agree that RVLP was never going to make it right to the top, we've got to the remember that initially when Wagner came in we sold our club to these players as a stepping stone, we've never stood in the way of a player wanting a move. It works both ways. I think we've missed him these last few months and hopefully if we go down he comes back without a chip on the shoulder and knuckles down and plays well again, hes a more than decent championship winger.

Thanks for his contribution last year and in the promotion season. Will always be remembered fondly for that, but also for his ability to frustrate. VLP is a paradox, pace and ability to beat a man and get us up the field, possibly our most gifted player. But for me he was also a significant contributor to our biggest problem which is being ponderous, predictable, and as a result allowing the opposition to set themselves up in defence. For a player with all the ability to provide the impetus, drive, and uncertainty in opposition defence, the number of times he wasted possession, ignored the overlapping player, wanted to beat his man more than once, and worst of all hugged the touch line never offering to hit the space in behind for a through pass between CB and RB, drove me insane. I suspect that's the reason for being frozen out, because he never ever showed any sign of overcoming his fundamental flaws. Plus his occasional lapses where like at Leicester he was lazy/careless, ultimately leading to us conceding posession in dangerous areas/goals against.

Not PL standard and infuriated me with his crossing and when he used to stay lying down on the floor with a non injury leaving us with 10 men as the opposition attacked. Very much an individual rather than a team player. However, fantastic signing for us overall and a huge part of our success. Despite his obvious flaws he will always be warmly welcomed back here and hope to see him with us again next season should we go down. If not best of luck to the lad.

Exactly, somethings happened behind closed doors. Why on earth would the club wheel him out at half time against Saints for the raffle draw? Bizarre. To annoy him.

I've just seen Sobhi is going as well. We better have 2 wingers walking through the door on Jan 1st, ready to play on Jan 2nd against Burnley, or we're in trouble.

This board is ridiculous at times. VLP was the most frustrating player last season (countless threads bemoaning his decision making and lack of end product) but a few months out of the side and he's our would-be saviour all of a sudden.
