This board is ridiculous at times. VLP was the most frustrating player last season (countless threads bemoaning his decision making and lack of end product) but a few months out of the side and he's our would-be saviour all of a sudden. I think it's just people realising they were wrong and it's not as easy as they thought to upgrade VLP and Ince. As it happens VLP is still our best winger, selling him seems very silly although Wagner has already been forced into abandoning 4231. Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

At least he can't be blamed for the latest failure by this shower of sh*t. Although...

No coincidence that we look worse without RVLP in the team.
A winger that can dribble. What's one of those?

Vlp was frozen out because he told the coaching staff that the system they were playing was pot met stront. And sadly he was right.

What is "pot met stront" please? Unfortunately, English is my mother tongue.

He did something last season that our strikers have failed to do this season, score a winning goal.
He had great skill and pace, bad decision to get rid.

His post on Instagram is worded like a goodbye, not the 6 month loan it apparently is. His further comments does back up the rumour that he fell out with Wagner and team for the crappy defensive system they’ve been playing. I completely agree with him and don’t blame him at all for wanting to move. http://instagram.com/p/BsEBF23BlPE

Sorry but I thought VLP had something different so difficult to understand why he is apparently being allowed to go !

That definitely sounds like he had a falling out with the whole "I've been fit the whole time" lines. It sounds like a goodbye. If he goes for a few million then we've done alright.

All about opinion as ever - whilst accepting he is better than our recent acquisitions (assuming we've got the best out of them, which I can't believe) I'm quite pleased he's gone in that it frees up a place, and we'll hopefully get some money for him if it's made permanemt, and if he delivers for Middlesborough. For me, VLP delivered excitement, occasionally, but not a lot else - certainly his stats for assists and goals are very poor and I don't think even his most ardent fan would attempt to defend his shooting.
Again, for me, I would echo what most Wolves fans seem to tell us when he left them - the occasional flash of excitement but little end product - they were hardly that bothered.

Crazy.
If you played VLP and Lolley in the current team instead of a full back and the striker, we'd have got more points and scored more goals than we have.

Another example of Wagner's poor decision making...0 Who knows. Lolley was playing a bit last season, VLP played a LOT. Neither fit in with the "10 defenders and a goalie" tactics in the defensive phase though do they?

Good luck RVLP - one of the best wingers I’ve seen at Town, worked hard, skilful, could beat a man with ease.

His crossing, shooting, and grey matter for that matter, were sometimes lacking, but still a legend in my mind. I wish him all the best as he deserves regular football. Very effective at Championship level.

He was the only player at Town who could actually get us up the pitch. Yes his crossing was often poor but he bought the time to link our midfield with the attack, something we have missed this season with endless crosses but only one man in the box and the midfield still 20 yards back. Came across as a lovely lad too who always had time for our young supporters at the end of a match.
