I’m mising something which many here are seeing, but I’m not.
Flo has real pace and crosses well. Sometimes he get tripped or stumbles because of his pace. Sometimes his crosses are off target. Regardless, he generally takes us further forward than VLP.
What am I missing?

He's a fanny rolling around in his gloves when it's 10 degrees. We don't need players like him when we're in a relegation battle

Second time in three games where he has rolled around on the floor feigning injury. Embarrassing.

As the season goes on the viscosity gets higher, he seems to have gone backwards from last season. He now has a Quaner like quality.

Incicisive passer, comfortable on the ball, pacey and a good crosser. He is weak in the tackle though unfortunately which means he’s become the latest DATM SOTY ‘scapegoat of the year’

One of the worse full backs I've seen defensively in 30 years of watching towñ. The theatrical roll abouts amplifying the discord I have for him.

He's had one game this season where he put plenty of good balls in and that was Bournemouth. The rest of the time his crossing has been as poor as anyone else. Same again today

Chipping a ball with no pace somewhere in the box does not make it a good cross.

He also crosses well, but when there’s only 1 striker up front, it’s hit and miss and not his fault that he doesn’t have 3-5 up there to link up with his crosses, like other teams do. The problem is tactics, not Flo, he’s like a bloody gazelle.

He would be a very decent player for us in the championship. For now tho, in the premier league, he’s a passenger. Would have VLP over him any day.

He is weak in the tackle though unfortunately which means he’s become the latest DATM SOTY ‘scapegoat of the year’ I will give you most of the upsides. But you omitted from the down the following 1. Soft and weak generally. 2. Often out of position. 3. Woeful one on one defending. 4. For all his decent pace....when has he used it going forward - He turns back every time. Very lucky to keep his place given we have durm imo who is a lot better - and most definitely not a CDM.

Any chance of getting him to try and beat a man once in a while then? So you accept though he is actually fairly pacey In terms of beating a man I think he does okay. He normally gets his cross away - which suggests he can beat a man and find a yard Only 22 players have hit more crosses than him this season www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/total_crossSo he’s rapid and gets crosses off

He is weak in the tackle though unfortunately which means he’s become the latest DATM SOTY ‘scapegoat of the year’ Incisive passer ?? I honestly don't know where you get this from richhtfc. Today was a typical performance - genuinely nearly every pass he did was either sideways or straight back to the man who'd passed it to him and then he scampered off up the field. He is not comfortable on the ball - it's like a hot potato. As is often said he cannot tackle and is scared stiff of physical contact. Just watch how many times he avoids tackling, or turns his back if a player is about to shoot. As ever (I was watching on stream) he went down needing treatment (twice today) and I think that even you may have to admit that the second time he eventually got up and sprinted off fresh as a daisy. As a Town supporter I was embarrassed. Apart from anything else it was counter-productive as it got the Fulham crowd incensed and up for it - quite rightly. I accept that my posts would show that I don't rate him and it's because in the end I want any player who represents my team to give me the impression that they are desperate to win and will give their all for 90 minutes. They might not actually give a monkeys and may just be interested in picking up a weekly wage that I can only dream of, but when I watch Schindler,Durm, Hogg, Lowe, Kongolo etc I think that they are as hurt/delighted by results and performances as I am. I may be doing him an injustice but for me Flo flatters to deceive and is not the type of player we need when the going gets tough.

Fanny. He does however have a good engine. Positive.

I watched the stream too and considering he’s filling in for Mooy I thought he did ok. I agree he doesn’t go forward enough but his passing is incisive, he’s tidy and doesn’t give away possession often which is the bare minimum in that position. Got to be honest i was much more worried when Hoggy was in possession than Flo and I love him. I really don’t think this is the time for scapegoats, we are under resourced across the team and it was always likely to be this way.
