Been said before, little point crossing to nobody. He did put one or two reasonable ones iñ but if nobody goes front post or comes in at the back stick they are made to look bad. Other than crosses that luckily go straight in, it is usually numbers or movement that scores the goal. I might might be tempted to go 4-4-1-1 with grant playing in and around/off mounie? Just for the option it gives us.

I'm one of the Flo doubters (lack of commitment in challenges, poor final ball and taking no responsibility to defend/track back) but Monday seemed to be more of an issue with the system, why continually go down the wings to put crosses into Grant who was surrounded by 3 defenders at all times.
Only reason he got so much of the ball was because Derby were happy for it to go down the wings!
Derby defense had nothing to do after 60 mins!

Not as bad as many on here make out. Put quite a few crosses in last night which didn't look great but only because no one attacked them No point putting in decent crosses 24hrs after the game he should have been doing it in 24hrs later and we still didn't have anyone in the box 😉

24 hours later and the two very, very good chances we had have been forgotten in the 'wake'.

Really don’t get the hatred for Flo, showed for the ball time and time again last night, In fact was pretty much the only out ball for much of the night. Not his fault if there’s no one in the box to receive a cross is it? He works his arse off for the team and as far as I can see doesn’t give the ball away more than anyone else. Not sure where this pack mentality hatred of him has come from but it’s pretty ugly. One thing is for sure he is by far the fittest player we have... He never stopped. Major concerns watching Mooy, Bacuna and Grant gasping for breath after 20 mins. What about Quaner coughing up a lung after a few sprinting shuttles at half time!

Fair one, maybe a little too harsh on the no chances created after 60 mins, but i Derby looked very comfortable. The 4-3-3 counter attack style (I think we are trying to play) will work away from home (hopefully at QPR) but when the away is happy to sit with two banks of 4 for the whole second half, any team will struggle to create.

what annoys me with Flo is when he does get past a man he just hopelessly crosses the ball to usually no one. why not get to the byline and cut the ball back to an incoming player?
Frustrating!

We looked so lethargic and continued to sit too deep the other night. Frustrating to watch but nothing new unfortunately.

Good as they were (and still could be) in a system that suits them, the system Jan wants doesn't and probably never will.

Not sure where this pack mentality hatred of him has come from but it’s pretty ugly. IF there is no one in the box surely the most sensible option is not to cross it ? There is a footballer in there but he's brain dead sometimes Depends on the instructions given I suppose. Personally I'd blame those not busting a gut to get into a position to help the attack rather than the guy putting the ball into what should be a dangerous area. His team-mates should be swarming forwards, either to receive the ball from the cross, to put pressure on the defender that gets there first or draw a foul in or around the box. Or, I suppose Flo could just get into a position to attack, then stop & pass backwards to wherever our other players are - but then he'd be blamed for killing the momentum of the attack.

Renound for racing down the wing then suddenly stoping to pass the ball back thus slowing play right down
He cannot cross a ball when given the opportunity , and mondays poor performance was nothing more than a " CONTINUATION FROM LAST SEASON ".
I blame Siewert for retaining him as surely there are better out there who have far more ability to do the job.
Siewert had half of last season to assess this player ,and surely the rest was obvious
Siewert also needs to put his own stamp on this squad/team as most of these retained premier league " FAILURES " could end up costing him his job

Our right back flies down the right flank and gets a cross in...not a single Town player has done his job and got in the box DESPITE US BEING A GOAL DOWN and Flo gets the grief.
Madness.

Our RB should be able to defend first and foremost and he can't. He doesn't even battle.

I can't stand Flo and every match I wait for him to go down as if shot and roll around signalling to the manager that he's in agony, rather than doing the job he's paid a lot of money to do - not a player you want alongside you in a battle - and his crossing is genuinely amateurish. BUT you're right - in the second half he pulled the ball back superbly for a fast low cross into the penalty area and no Town player was within 5 yards of getting anywhere near the penalty area. Like watching Herr Wagner's team of the last 12 m0nths. Not original, but our new plan seems to be counter-attacking without the attacking bit.

Yes, but Flo will know there is no point tear arsing down the wing because the rest of the squad are still in Towns half. Talk about the charge of The Light Brigade.

Opposing teams have scouted and know Flo has a good engine but is absolutely NO THREAT AT ALL going forward and can't defend to save his career. That's why he gets the space because the world knows he's fucking useless when presented with a crossing chance.
He's tier four in England, Germany, etc.... tier two in Switzerland or Scotland.
I'll go out on a limb and say that a Town team with Flo as the starting RB for more than half the season has zero chance of promotion and will be likely be relegated. (24+ games as a starter).

Watching that old video, could we get Cowlwing and some of the others in to teach 'em how to cross a ball?
