Cheers. I can't believe Grant is currently winning. By quite a distance too! Although TBH after watching the other contenders I though Grant's was the least impressive of the lot, still a great goal though.

Cheers. I can't believe Grant is currently winning. Of course one can argue that there are better goals, but this is about Huddersfield Town and what we as fans can do to better the team. The good that winning this will do for the lad’s confidence is immeasurable. League 1 to PL goal of the month in all but a few weeks!

There’s not many real stand outs, but even as a Town fan I’d struggle to stick it in the top three. However, do you really consider it to less impressive than the one scored by Jota, which is a good goal because of the “stunning one touch” approach play, except the most significant piece of one touch play in the approach is Jota himself completely mis hitting / under hitting his pass and getting lucky that there’s a team mate that reacts first!?

You've just touched on the problem that exists when you give the masses a vote - it doesn't always turn out the way you expect.

Precisely why you should never give the ‘unwashed masses’ the vote in the first place.

There is obviously some voting irregularity going on here. It looks as though a striker from little ol' Huddersfield is going to win goal of the month. I suggest that Sky stop this poll now, scrub the result and then have another one. They could call it a "fans' vote"

I can't believe some of the negative comments about his goal. I thought it was one of the top three so had no hesitation in giving him my vote. Any footballer should be able to score direct from a free kick every now and then - law of averages. Karlan had to receive a through ball with his back to goal, beat his man with a swivel and drag back, race forward with 2 or 3 closing him down and left them for dead with a nice cut inside and finally shot into the top right corner from 20 yards. Brilliant. Far more skill needed than a single shot, however good.

I'm not daft enough to ignore what tipped the balance for this lad, but it must have been in the back of his mind that he could well be starting next season competing in the same division as his old club...
As well as the money, I'm sure it would have been the potentially brighter future offered by Town, so hopefully we'll see even better from him...
Pleased that he's a lad who tries to make opportunities for himself, as opposed to waiting for them to come along, which has arguably been one of the failings of our other strikers this season...

For two years we have had one plan - get the ball wide and cross it in for a tall men to head it in, and we all know how well that's gone. You only have to look at the forwards in this league who can run, dribble and shoot - they score goals and win penalties. Grant has played very few games and yet has three goals, an assist, and has won our only penalty. Shame on our recruitment team for leaving this purchase far too late to make any difference.

Try telling that to the "Gerrit Forrard" lot who sit near me - all they want to see is balls lumped into the box, I wonder whether they weren't more happy in Div 2, really! Grant makes things happen, there is no doubt. Like a young Alan Lee............ only better!

Grant makes things happen, there is no doubt. Like a young Alan Lee............ only better! To be honest, you could class me in the "Gerrit Forrard" brigade if you like, although I'm not after them lumping it into the box. I am sick to death of the ball going backwards from promising situations (yes, you, Tommy Smith). I yearn for the days of players who will carry the ball at pace, running at midfielders and defenders, dribbling and using a bit of brute strength to batter a way through rather than the careful, patient, ponderous and - dare I say it - negative approach of the last two seasons. I know it's not always successful, but it's usually more exciting to watch when your players are moving forward quickly. There's more to getting the ball forward than simply smashing it upfield...
