He’s a tidy footballer. Pace has gone but it shows how dire the squad is at this level when Jason Puncheon comes in on loan and is your technically second best footballer. He isn't though. He looks tidy because he's doing everything in slow motion so it looks nice and controlled. He constantly turns in to trouble and holds the ball for too long. No way should we be holding back the progress of some of our players by starting a has been before them Maybe a bit harsh on Billing as he’s probably the second best but after that you’re struggling for any player who can receive the ball under pressure who doesn’t just swing a leg at it in panic.

If it's true, it's especially poor from an experienced player.
Some of the posts on this thread though....jeez, how immature.

tbh I thought he was ok...nice two footed footballer, ran around and worked and tried to link up between our shit midfield and our shit forward line...just another who couldn't recuscitate our ailing club. By all means ridicule him for not single handedly saving our club...

I had an argument outside the stadium with him after the arsenal game the guy is an absolute idiot! Good riddance! His career as a player is over unless he decides to play for Dagenham etc. Did you boo him?

They have been following the managers orders to a tee.

...tell you what...If I was Puncheon, an' I'd been subbed in the same manner as he was at Newcastle....I'd have been pretty fuckin' angry, too..!!! And having gone a defender down with the red card, who do you think should have been subbed ahead of him?? He was the very obvious first choice given where he was playing and given he’s pretty much always one of the least effective players on the pitch. At least he came off when the manager told him to, unlike the affair at Chelsea...

Am I the only one who isn’t bothered by this? A player wanting to play and be on the pitch trying to win a game for town, something which we’ve struggled to do all season. He didn’t look happy to be taken off and if he was happy then I’d be questioning him, fair play to him if he showed some passion and anger. A total non story.

Attack wise they have created zilch all season...everything has come from the wings and absolutely nothing created through midfield, down the channels. We bought Pritchard to add some attacking spark but that hasn't happened as he's been asked to play deeper and cover defense more often (under DW). Mooy has been played too far back this season and apart from Mooys goals at Wolves and a couple of Billing thunderbolts I can't agree our midfield has offered anything of any note attack wise. We've tried numerous options to be more attack minded in the middle, Puncheon is just another on a long list including Pritchard, Ince, Izzy, Palmer, Patterson, Holmes, Dempsey, Huws, Matmour and Lolley on occasion... and Whitehead...

When sabiri gets back to fitness he should should be getting a chance over puncheon - let’s see what he’s got under siewert
That’s not a dig at puncheon rather looking to the long term and we’re better giving opportunity/ experience to one of our youngsters who may have a role to play rather than a loanee who will probably be off in the summer regardless

There is clearly a difference between being annoyed at being subbed and voicing that anger in the wrong way..
manager picks you, manager drops or subs you.....
after a sending off someone usually gets the hook and its not personal or a slight on your ability, its just a tactical one..
maybe Puncheon thought he was doing us a big favour by deigning to come here..? 0-0 defender sent off, one striker?? midfielder with the least 'legs' is coming off for another defender on, thats you mr Puncheon... simples..

The midfield have been good at doing what they’ve been directed to do. Unfortunately when the message is defense then players will struggle in attack. They dominated a lot of midfields before Mooy got injured but we couldn’t convert our chances. During those dominate displays they didn’t get numbers forward because they were ordered defense before attack by the manager. The tactics are on the manager, the players have performed well, within the tactics.

Uninspired, shit signing from a football club that totally lost the plot this season I certainly didn't expect him to spark life into our season, nobody did. You clearly didn't given your post. So why did we sign him? He brought nothing. Yeah let's bring in a player who will do nothing. Sounds like a great plan! He's rubbish. Get rid.

Don't understand the arse licking. The bloke played 6 games for us and was crap. One of the most uninspiring signings we've ever made. He'll be gone in the summer. No loss.

I dont think we can afford to fall out with any player, we certainly dont have an excess of decent ones. If he is decent we could do with him as an option, if he is sh1t then hes better than some of the players we have, hes probably somewhere in between. If he was angry at being subbed then thats no bad thing. I hope it doesnt put us off using the loan market. you may well expect a reaction from a player who is subbed or dropped.. bet he has had a load before but this one seems to have gone past 'sensible anger or frustration... blokes will have arguments of fall outs, cant go beyond a certain level because the manager is in charge,,

I thought he started ok when he came, and in the first game showed the experience we've missed. Would have been disappointed if we'd signed him permanently - as people say, I think his best days are behind him. That said, if I was substituted and Flo brought on in my place I'd be furious...

If true our transfers in January (the most important window ever ) amount to a right back from spurs who we immediately loaned out and one and a bit million on Grant ? Wow

He kept getting himself into trouble and giving the ball away from his reluctance to use his weaker foot. The guy is past it.

So this is what has become of ''our quality loan signing''
I reckon he only came because no-one else would have him

Refusing an autograph for a 9 year old! Disgusting and goes against everything the club has built over the last few years - bond between players and fans. Get rid asap.

If this is the case can we not send him back to Palace? We sent Palmer back to Chelsea cutting short his loan spell or was that during a window, can’t remember.

He allegedly told a 15 year old lass to "fuck off" when she asked him for his signature in the petrol station....... not sure if that was mentioned along with his half arsed training, I'd be 95% sure it will have got back to Deano.
