AHEM Former Southampton and Crystal Palace midfielder Jason Puncheon has joined Cypriot side Pafos FC, with the club heralding the signing as "the greatest transfer" in their history. The 33-year-old has joined on a free transfer after leaving Palace, signing a two-year deal. Pafos said they were getting a player who "is brilliant on both wings." "This is one of the most important transfers in Cypriot football," their statement added. Puncheon, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Huddersfield from Palace, added: "I am honoured to be joining Pafos FC Fucking hell, are they in for a disappointment 🤣🤣🤣

Living out in Cyprus and being the best (yes, he will be) in his team will be great for him. Getting acclimatised to the heat will take time though. I absolutely loved living in Cyprus for 3 years.

Playing English Prem one season, Pafos the next.. either represents a Rooney-esque coup on tgd Cypriots part or more likely it illustrates just how utter gash our transfer business had become since we reached the promised land..and looking at the other night still is.. Last season especially feels like a monumental wasted opportunity when look at the deals done and not done.. yeah easy with hindsight I know but these era's dont come round that often..

Good luck to him. Did well for us. I beg your pardon? He was beyond digshit and had a scrap with the new manager within weeks of his appointment. I don't go overboard very often (ha!) but the brains behind this signing needed sacking.

Wagner brought him in as a steadying influence / senior pro type of character. We were low on them . It didn't work out but hey ho with or without him we were down. All's well that ends well as he now has his dream move
