I have a nasty feeling that if a bid of #10million plus came in for Grant,he would be sold, so I am not confident that we will have a front 3 of Diakhaby Grant and M,benza.

I touched on this in another thread and completely agree, my only hope is that if he is sold we could get a figure around 13/14 million , pure speculation on my part though.

No chance we sell him for 10m
shown he can score in the PL unlike players like maupay, adams.

No chance we sell him for 10m shown he can score in the PL unlike players like maupay, adams. Has a similar to better scoring rate than Mitrovic(sure it’s from a smaller sample of games) while Grant plays for the team who came last in the PL and for goals scored. Grant is English and only 21, with 3 years left on his contract. Grant already has goals against West Ham, Arsenal and Watford. James Maddison was sold for £25m. Mitrovic for £20m. Grant is worth £20m+.

The market has gone stratospheric since then, he would have to be £17m at least IMO for us to even consider an offer. And we paid that for a defender ! The only way he'd go on the cheap is if god forbid, he had a buyout clause of a lesser amount in the contract.

Could it be that wingers find it very difficult in the Premier League? Mbenza and Diakhaby are definitely not alone in being expensive signings that didn't have much impact Ghezzal cost Leicester 13 million - done nothing Jahanbaksh cost Brighton 17 million- done nothing Izquierdo cost Brighton 14 million - done nothing Elyounoussi cost Southampton 15 million- done nothing Traore cost Wolves 18 million - done nothing And then players like Ryan Fraser have taken a good 3 or 4 years to get up to the level required It would be mental to write our two off on the back of such stop start injury hit seasons. I'll be the first to call for them to go if they've not improved at this point next year but I think they'll have had good seasons. This is what concerns me. We’re looking at a minimum tough 48 game season next year and yet this year either one or both always seem to be injured. I know DW didn’t play them, but they both appear to be major players in Jan’s plans but I’m trying to recollect if they have both started for him at the same time.

I knew there had to have been one but the fact that he never made it to half time kind of makes my point. If I remember that game, I don't thing Diakhaby made the end either. Wasn't he struggling with fitness half way through the second half?

Get rid of both immediately They will never play a minimum of 30 games next year if selected .Pointless players on the books.Grant,Mooy-with one bad injury exception-Schindler,Lowe,Bacuna,Kongolo, etc stay fit.Which reminds me,Tom Ince played games record must be very high......You cannot chance injury prone players in a really grinding Championship season

Wow- 4 goals (including one that hit his knee!). He looks promising but these figures are way too high in my opinion. When he’s scored a dozen by Christmas then we could be selling at a significant profit.

Perhaps they've just been unlucky with injuries this season. Didn't Mooy have a long time out through injury at a similar age?

Haven't been here long enough to deserve the tag 'injury prone' in my opinion. Showing my age now but the first time I saw Denis he had a pot on his leg. Never make it that lad, he's 'injury prone' I was told. Let's have a pre season, get 'em fit then see where they are.

Dennis was as tough as old boots from day 1 when he was a teenager despite the scrawny look and glasses These guys have had years of full training and planned development but so far have not stepped up to the plate. We will see and I truly would love to be proved wrong.

He still had his share of injury's like most lads. But Injury prone? Nah! Calling players out as injury prone based on less than one season here is just as daft.

It's not a matter of recouping what we spent, rather a matter of getting at least what we value them at now, subject to being part of our plans.
