Don't worry you will be. I somehow doubt it! Neither look tough enough or determined enough for me. Hogg must frighten them to death in training! Talking of which, Hogg was injury prone when he first came to Town. Not been a problem at all over last 3 seasons really.

We sold Rhodes SEVEN years ago for £8m and he had done virtually all of his scoring at L1 level.
The market has gone stratospheric since then, he would have to be £17m at least IMO for us to even consider an offer. And we paid that for a defender ! The only way he'd go on the cheap is if god forbid, he had a buyout clause of a lesser amount in the contract.
Wow- 4 goals (including one that hit his knee!). He looks promising but these figures are way too high in my opinion. When he’s scored a dozen by Christmas then we could be selling at a significant profit. Most fans find it hard to justify these prices, however the reality is, they are here to stay. You might say “Wow- 4 goals”, but he compares favourably to other signings in the £18-20 region. The likes of Solanke was sold for £19m to Bournemouth and has done f all, even with the power of Liverpool behind him.

I think people are confusing fitness with match fitness.Players need to play regularly to achieve full match fitness.I sure hope these two fall into that category next season.

My two penneth for what it's worth, we know as Dean confirmed at Canalside, that he will be here next season, the fee seems to around £10M - a lot of money to us, on the few disrupted appearances we've seen the vast majority of fans have decided "Rubbish, not good enough"
However we've seen glimpses that suggest he could be a player and a quick one at that, remember that Bacuna was also written off earlier by most but the last few months with regular game time now has the majority hoping he's a starter next season, let's hope that Mbenza can build on Sunday, get some form and confidence and hit the Championship flying, then the fee for a Belgium u21 starts to look like a good bit of business.

The championship will still be a tough league, but we need to remember that there is a big difference from going up against Kyle Walker to running at players like Zeki Fryers (Barnsley). I'll wait until we see a few games in the Championship before I judge his performance.

He certainly could be a player. There's ability there, no doubt about it. I just question whether he has the heart/motivation/bravery (call it what you will) to be a success in the English game.
I hope to be proven wrong.

No doubt on my mind he will be a success. Unlike VLP he’s direct, fast, he’ll get in behind and his finishing is ok.
Look at Traore at Boro (Wolves paid £18m for him).
He’ll score goals and catch the eye. He’s young and a Belgium u21.
If he scores 10 goals next year he’ll double in value (Traore scored 5 and had 10 assists in the season prior to Win lives buying him).

Seems intent on staying for next season Great stuff.. What a refreshing change to hear that from one of our players this season. Also bodes well for Bacuna staying and being settled as these two seem to get on very well off the field.

Wouldn't mind Traore on loan next season and then send him back when we go up.

He has a goal and two assists (I think) with his ratio of games I'd say he's shit hot in comparison to how some have played and how shit we've been. I'd also say the heart and motivation are there too. Did you see him when he got that calf injury? He looked absolutely devastated.

And Mbenza has an inept clueless performance today.Ive exchanged mails with Codds on his fitness being dodgy but it’s a lack of awareness on the pitch that I find staggering. He was very poor after his goal last week. Its hard playing against better teams every week but as lovers of VLP and Ince on this site will say a thousand times, they worked hard for the team, tracked back at all times and had awareness of what’s going on behind them.Billing, mega talented that he is will never make it at the top level for the same reasons.

Agree with most of that. Mbenza is the typical lad who is very quick so he gets in the school team as a young lad but actually hasn’t a clue about how to play football. He is definitely not going to be some sort of saviour in the Championship. He is, despite me desperately wishing otherwise, a complete waste of money. Ince and VLP, though neither really prem material, are miles ahead of him in what they offer the team.

I cannot understand why he's getting game time. He's league two standard for me. Off the ball he's not even that.

He's quick but couldn't get past Bednarek on a couple of occasions yesterday when we were on the break, which you would really want him to be doing. Might do ok in the Championship against the shite teams at the bottom of the league, but unless he improves over the summer it isn't looking great for the lad.

Fact is he can’t do it with the ball and has zero idea without it Yet he used it well for the goal v Man Utd, not to mention probably the coolest finish we've seen this season (Grant aside maybe). Agreed he has no positional sense defensively because it's clearly never been part of his game and will no longer need to be.
