They are both absolutely pathetic. 1 goal between them all season. Grant comes in from league one and already has 4. Grant wants to score. Hes desperate to score. Theres the difference. Mounie probably wouldn;t have scored the goal grant got yesterday. An easy header from close in, but Mounie wouldn't have been there to get it. He'd have been ambling about outside the area practically marking their centre back! Lack of confidence might explain missing chances but lack of movement and desire has nothing to do with that. If you're off form, those are the things you make sure are still there in spades. What Mounie suffers from is a lack of heart and lack of desire, far more than he has a lack of confidence. Agreed. Mounie lacks the desire and, importantly, is constantly ‘caught on his heels’ never reacting quickly enough to make things happen. Grant is the polar opposite, as you say, desperate to score and quick to react. Personally, I’m not at all convinced Grant is going to be the answer to our problems but he is so much better than we have that it makes him seem like the saviour.

Because good strikers create from nothing. They are front foot and can find space whilst on the ball. Mounie could not find a ball in an aircraft hangar. Not necessarily true. Plenty of great strikers that needed a supply. Lineker, Van Nistelrooy, Huntelaar, Inzaghi all brilliant goalscorers but very rarely scored goals out of nothing. Good point. What i meant was players who get away from markers and get shots off. Mounie cannot do that.

True, he has had quite a few chances this season, probably more than last when he actually scored more goals! That said, he rarely makes the moves you would expect from a striker. Do you ever see him coming across the near post, or pulling away at the far post? He rarely seems to be able to find that yard of space in the box, and seems to lack anticipation. He's hardly ever there to pick the pieces up. As others have said, he seems to react to things, and is often on his heels. You can't play like that as a striker. He needs to be far more proactive, but I'm not sure he has that in his locker.

His lack of movement / pace seems to have coincided with his bulking up in the gym.

No both him and Depoitre stand still and watch when the ball goes wide. Contrast that to good strikers who are on the move all of the time and it's frustrating.

Depoitre is a bloody plasterer and dont get me started on that waste of space mounie . Does he actually watch premiership football on tv? Useless is too good an adjective to decribe either of them

I'm not one for posting threads solely criticising players but.. My god he's shit, ill pay his bus fair to leave. Through on goal at a anfield, slows down and gives the ball away rather than having a go. We've had some useless sods in the 30 odd years I've been watching, your right up with the worst of em.
Rant over....

I believe he is without doubt the worst striker to wear the famous blue and white stripe's.

I didn't think I'd see a worse performance than last week but I was wrong. The fact that Siewert played him again after Watford is the most worrying thing.

We should bring back dizzy penalties but before the game. The winner gets to play up front for us. He would have more of a chance of getting a shot off than Steve 'oh wait a minute I have all the time in the world' Mounie.

Can't play again after that... Put stankovic up front as he has scored the same amount and it stops him fxcking about at the back.

I believe he is without doubt the worst striker to wear the famous blue and white stripe's. That’s harsh considering some of the garbage that’s played up front for us down the years but that £13m we paid no way justifies what he’s delivered & we should be asking for a good chunk of it back.
