I really hope to be proved wrong but my gut feeling is that as a club we will not progress forwards with this chairman, at best Iam guessing mid championship table status. I just don't see us having the team on the pitch or the backroom team to be able to mount any sort of challenge once the transfer market window closes. I suspect some of the better players will leave near the end leaving us short or desperate. My opinion keeps changing on JS aswell and I am far from convinced this manager is right for us, experience motivation the new manager effect all lacking when he took charge and if he thinks we can change all that with the quality of players recruited I don't see it. Then look at the DOF situation the fact the ast manager has been a quick turn around all looks a bit unstable for a club that mocks the unstability of other clubs. Hope iam wrong mind and we have a really entertaining and successful season. Please get out the house fella and enjoy the sun - it could possibly cheer you up!

Just seen the second part of his interview. Got to say I feel better about the shape we're in after it than I did before. Phil comes across very well IMO.. basically just another version of dean hoyle. You can sense his passion for the club and the role he now has in it and he seems very intent and determined ( and confident ) that he is going to move the club forward. Had the exact same feeling. Like his honestly over the 3 transfer window thing as some will sit on big contracts. Excellent interview.

That was my overall reaction as well. Confidence level has gone back up a couple of notches, but also, it does seem clear that something that can be in short supply will be needed by all, especially a group on here, namely - PATIENCE.

Comes across again as a bloke who wants to be the very best he can be for our,and his, club. Speaks a lot of common sense and clearly has a plan. Like his confidence and his transparency as to why he feels Siewert is the man. Also puts to bed one or two rumours, which no doubt some will still perpetuate to their own means. DoF all sorted as well. Came across really well. Feel very positive about the club moving forwards, even though this first twelve month period is likely to be transitory.

No mention of the three Premier League loan players that he said we were signing the last time he spoke.

You can forgive the lack of patience after 18 months of dross on and off the pitch. I agree it's needed but we have had our manager, chairman and premier League status taken away and fans want actions not words.

No mention of the three Premier League loan players that he said we were signing the last time he spoke. Probably need their parent club to give the green light. Ramsdale deal waiting on Bournemouth getting a keeper in? Dowell probably still on holiday after Euros? Two reasons why two linked players aren't here yet.

Too many cliches in that video for my liking.
Time will tell but he'll need nerves of steel and this could be the calm before the storm. Probably too early to say the writings on the wall but what goes around comes around, and I'm not going to cry over spilt milk.
Seems like a right enough guy to me.
Good luck Phil, and don't let the players give you any shit.

Imagine the uproar when he announces Josh Marsh is the new DOF, it'll be an absolute pisser ππ He did mention internal candidates which took me by surprise! I did wonder if it had anything to do with Winkler leaving. Applied, didn't get it, spat dummy maybe? Note I said I wonder before anyone jumps down my throat for daring to suggest something which I don't know is one hundred percent fact Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

Like him , a lot .... no nonsense type of fella - immediately comes across as a leader and one that will not be fooled.
Heβs looking forward Austria which tells you heβs hands on , I get the feeling the ones that want it will follow him those that donβt will be found out.
I get a good feeling........ good luck Phil π΅βͺοΈπ΅βͺοΈ

Decent 2nd interview. No justifiable reason to be worried after watching that.

Excellent interview. i have said all along it would take two windows at least to get everything in place and he is spot on when he says that its about character as well as ability. I'm sure the club are working hard but it is never straight foreward as some will leave but some will be still here so lets get on with it and support phill jan and the players in what will be a challenging season as it will vbe for all the clubs

Imagine the uproar when he announces Josh Marsh is the new DOF, it'll be an absolute pisser ππ ive know idea who has got the job but if josh is given the role I would have know problem with it because the lad has forgotten more about the pro game than ninety per cent on here. good luck to who ever they announce.

Didn;t he say something along the lines of being excited by the appointment? It doesn;t seem the thing youd say if you'd just given the job to the bloke who's been doing it already somehow.

This time last year we were looking forward to a second PL season. Now it feels like we are preparing for, at best, a season of treading water and hoping the sharks aren't circling under us.
Depressing.

Sounds good to me and I can see why Dean chose him over megabucks offered from abroad. Another Town fan as Chairman who understands the heart and soul of the club and its place in the community.
He also dispelled some of the silly rumours that have been going around in certain quarters.
Like the way he backs Jan and what he said about bringing in players with the right attitude.
A better season lies ahead - looking forward

"Three-window transition" So don't expect us to cover every player for every position. I think he was saying it will take 3 windows to move on the steaming pile of premier league players we dont want, the ideal month is everyone we want gone, goes and we get replacements in.
